LVMH is pleased to announce the second edition of its “Voices of Inclusion Week” from November 13th to 17th, a global momentum to showcase its collective commitment to fostering an ever more inclusive culture. The Group and its Maisons are putting the spotlight on their actions and initiatives to Diversity & Inclusion, taking place all year round, to amplify the voices of its talents around the world.

Spearheaded by the Group’s Human Resources Department, for over 15 years LVMH has maintained its momentum, ambitions and high standards for Diversity and Inclusion.

On November 15th at the Fondation Louis Vuitton, LVMH rewarded the most impactful initiatives created by the Group’s Maisons & Regions, and collected through the Inclusion Index, which, since 2018, has provided an observatory of the initiatives undertaken by the entire Group to promote Diversity and Inclusion.

This year, close to 200 initiatives were submitted throughout the Group, and all LVMH employees were called to vote for their favourite initiatives during an internal online campaign in July.

A Jury made up of members of the Board and CEOs of the Group’s Maisons examined the 36 shortlisted initiatives.

Members of the LVMH Executive Committee:

  • Jean-Jacques Guiony, Chief Financial Officer
  • Chris de Lapuente, CEO of Selective Retailing

CEOs of the Group’s Maisons:

  • Frédéric Arnault, CEO, TAG Heuer
  • Pascale Lepoivre, CEO, Loewe
  • Charles Leung, CEO, Fred
  • Sibylle Scherer, CEO, Moët & Chandon

And Men’s Creative Director for Louis Vuitton, Pharrell Williams.

On the occasion of the “Voices of Inclusion” event, the Jury awarded six initiatives, one for every Diversity & Inclusion category:

  • Gender Equity: Louis Vuitton for Hiring women from underprivileged backgrounds initiative in collaboration with local NGOs in Asia.
  • LGBTI+: Belmond for “Travel with Pride” – In 2022, Belmond launched “Travel with Pride” initiative that saw two distinct rail travel experiences, curated for LGBTI+ travellers. Coinciding with Brighton Pride in August, the British Pullman train took its guests to join the city’s 30th anniversary Pride festival. In November, the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express hosted a special journey in support of a trans-led charity “Not A Phase”.
  • Disability: two initiatives ex aequo:

  • Origins (National and Social): Christian Dior Couture for “Dior Open Day” – Dior organizes Open Days where they welcome individuals from diverse backgrounds looking for a job during a day in their ecosystem to educate and share knowledge about their métiers, roles and the Maison’s universe in order to identify and recruit talents. Eight recruitments took place in 2022 in the Champs- Élysées and Montaigne stores.
  • Generations:  Moët Hennessy for “Ageless Conversations” – Moët Hennessy Paris’ new matchmaking program to foster a collaborative and agile workplace by bridging the gap between different generations. It consists in matching two colleagues of different generations (min. 10 years gap) and invite them to meet over informal meetings to share knowledge and learn from each other.
  • Inclusive Culture (initiatives that contribute to fostering an inclusive culture and enhancing the overall experience of Group talents, partners and clients): Tiffany & Co. for “Atrium” – “Atrium” is a social impact platform featuring initiatives aimed at making the industry more equitable and inclusive built around three mainstays: creativity, education and community spirit. Examples of initiatives include apprenticeship programs within HBCU institutions, partnership with “Harlem’s Fashion Row” and support to foundations in favor of social inclusion.

Finally, a special Prize has been created to award the Maison with the best Diversity & Inclusion performance indicators. This distinction went to Sephora for its results.

All of the Awards were designed and made by Repossi, jewellery Maison of the Group. Committed to a more inclusive society through its value chain, Repossi is one of the Maisons represented among the finalists for its partnership with Moyo Gems, a responsible women-led miner-to-market gemstone collaboration born in East Africa. This initiative is a concrete example of impact on the second pillar of the Group Diversity & Inclusion roadmap on embedding inclusive best practices into its ecosystem through relationships with suppliers and value chain stakeholders. Repossi uses its brand awareness to serve women’s visibility in the gemstone industry in Africa. The Inclusion Index Award has a shape of a faceted pear, which is an allegory of diversity, and the stones mined by Moyo Gem’s Tanzanian women are at the heart of the award, as an echo of the commitment of Group’s Maisons.
