Retail Operations Specialist

Position

[Summary]

The Retail Operations Specialist supports the Retail Manager in driving operational excellence, consistency, and efficiency across the store network.

Acting as a key link between HQ, regional teams, local functions, stores, and external partners, the role ensures the effective implementation of global standards and initiatives while overseeing store operations, compliance, inventory control, training, digital tools, budgets, and vendors.

The Retail Operations Specialist also supports store openings, renovations, and other retail projects, while identifying opportunities to optimize operational processes and enhance the overall store environment.

Job responsibilities

Retail Operations & Store Network Management

• Manage day-to-day retail operations across the store network, ensuring operational consistency and efficiency.
• Maintain store operational information and system data, including opening hours and Book an Appointment.
• Develop and improve local operational policies, guidelines, and SOPs in alignment with HQ standards.
• Manage store operational requirements, including refreshments, supplies, maintenance, uniforms, packaging, and other store-related needs.
• Coordinate with HQ, regional teams, office functions, stores, and external vendors to address operational issues and implement improvements.

HQ & Store Coordination

• Act as a key operational bridge between HQ, regional teams, local functions, and the store network.
• Localize global guidelines and initiatives, consolidate store feedback, and communicate local operational needs and improvement opportunities to HQ.
• Develop and maintain Retail Operations training, induction materials, and operational resources for stores.

Inventory Control & Compliance

• Coordinate Cycle Counts and Fiscal Counts to maintain inventory accuracy and minimize shrinkage.
• Manage store operational audits and Self-Audit programs, including Store Checklists, documentation standards, and corrective action follow-up.
• Monitor sensitive transactions to ensure compliance with company policies.
• Support internal and LVMH audits and follow up on operational findings and corrective actions.

Digital Tools & Operational Performance

• Support the rollout and adoption of global retail tools and systems, including POS Mobile, Store Manager Dashboard, and traffic counters.
• Monitor system adoption and operational data, identify improvement opportunities, and coordinate troubleshooting with HQ, IT, and relevant partners.
• Develop localized guidelines and deliver training to support effective implementation across stores.

Budget & Vendor Management

• Manage Retail Operations budgets, forecasts, POs, invoices, and recurring operational expenses.
• Manage external vendors, including quotations, service quality, cost control, and operational improvements.
• Develop and maintain store expense and purchasing guidelines.

Store Opening & BOH Management

• Support new store openings, relocations, pop-ups, and renovation projects, ensuring operational readiness.
• Review and improve BOH layouts, stock organization, and operational workflows in coordination with HQ and relevant teams.

Profile

• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in the luxury retail industry.
• Strong alignment with brand identity and exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to ensure timely and accurate communication across departments.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions.
• Proactive mindset with strong teamwork, attention to detail, service orientation, and self-motivation.
• Fluent in English and Korean.
