Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Intern to join our Procurement team. The successful candidate will play an integral role in supporting supplier engagement, contract management, and the bidding process for small-scale projects.

This internship offers valuable exposure to core procurement activities within a dynamic business environment and provides the opportunity to develop essential skills in sourcing, negotiation, and vendor management.

Job responsibilities

  • Assist in sourcing and evaluating suppliers in alignment with specific project requirements, ensuring optimal selection and value.
  • Support the bidding process for small-scale projects, including comprehensive documentation management, archiving, and effective vendor coordination.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders and related procurement documentation in accordance with established procedures.
  • Maintain and update procurement records, contract files, and supplier databases by category to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
  • Contribute to supplier relationship management initiatives to foster long-term, strategic partnerships.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and opportunities for cost reduction and process optimization.
  • Assist with contract administration, compliance verification, and adherence to internal procurement policies.
  • Analyze procurement spend data to identify and recommend cost optimization strategies.
  • Participate actively in team meetings and contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Procurement Senior Manager to support departmental objectives.

Profile

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • High attention to detail and a proactive attitude toward learning.
  • Eligible to work in the United States
