Position
At Louis Vuitton, as a Visual Merchandising Director, you will be an ambassador of the Brand and ensure the consistency, quality and sophistication of the visual merchandising implementation on all product categories throughout the Region.
You will support the business strategy and contribute to enhancing the Client experience in store through guidance and direction to the Regional VM teams. This role will need to share regular project updates and is expected to be executive facing with at least 8-10 years of relative experience.
Job responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Communication of all VM Guidelines to LV Americas VM teams; either directives from Paris or LV Americas generated directives Communication with Regional VM teams on their Visual work
- Daily feedback to photos shared from key doors, feedback to Regional VM Directors on doors outside of top 20
- Master knowledge of all product categories
- Work closely with Merchandisers to ensure key investments, business drivers, sell through targets are considered and pushed in VM Create visually compelling communication tools inclusive of project recaps, VM directive sharing and Photo reports for Zone teams and Paris global team
- Travel to select key image and retail events & visual installations to oversee project or execute Visual presentations
- Partner with Regional VM Directors on planning of all Store Openings, renovations, high profile projects in their markets ensuring all projects prepared and vetted before executed
Act as a proactive force in developing the business, leveraging visual merchandising as a way to drive sales - Be the ambassador and role model for Regional and Store teams on Visual Merchandising, demonstrating an active genuine passion in leadership and strong enthusiasm
- Partner with Vice President of VM on all Corporate presentations and updates to be shared with Executive team and key functional partners.
- Provide tailored coaching and guidance to existing Visual team members to achieve consistent Visual excellence
- Set visual expectations, and proactively manage performance against expectations
- Respect Louis Vuitton Brand standards in terms of grooming and behavior

Profile
- 8-10 years of experience with Architectural Design degree or relative background
- Experience with RTW and accessories
- Experience with window installations

- Elevated and Sophisticated Communication skills both to local teams and to Paris counterparts
- Demonstrated self-starter with ability to align and organize teams ahead of launches
- Follow through in compiling store photos and recaps to share back with Paris.
- Ability to identify more impactful display opportunities which can roll out on a grand scale
- Requires Weekends, Evenings and Holiday availability
The appointed candidate will be offered a salary within the range of USD $160,000- 190,000, a comprehensive benefits package including: medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, various paid time off programs, employee discount/perks and two retirement plans both with employer contributions.

The position requires 4 days per week on site in the Louis Vuitton Corporate Office, located in the heart of Midtown, Manhattan.
