The Marché Saxe-Breteuil in Paris morphed into “Stella’s Sustainable Market” for the Stella McCartney Spring-Summer 2024 show. The collection is a study in family, freedom and fluidity, exploring the creative director’s personal history, from her parents’ shared wardrobes to their relationship with the environment.

A pioneer in sustainable fashion, Stella McCartney presented a new collection crafted from 95% eco-conscious materials. The eclectic collection blurs the lines between genders and generations while never deviating from a sustainable trajectory. Silhouettes sparkle with lead-free crystals and diamond fringe is dotted across organic cotton denim. Mirrored polka dots are hand-crocheted into knit dresses using Kelsun™ seaweed-based yarn, a world first for luxury. Tuxedo shirting in organic cotton poplin creates luminous elegance.

Inspired by Paul and Linda McCartney’s life on tour, vintage Wings graphics are revisited on organic cotton t-shirts, worn under a varsity jacket featuring the work of artist Hajime Sorayama, previewing a capsule launching in December 2023. Stage looks are reinterpreted as metallic brocade tailoring, creating a festive allure alongside mini-dresses and bomber jackets in NONA Source repurposed silk and forest-friendly viscose satins. Cropped and maxi biker jackets are vegan alternatives to animal leather. The Frayme bag is crafted from a grape by-product from Veuve Clicquot, fully traceable and grown using regenerative agriculture practices. The iconic Falabella bag is revisited in plant-based, plastic-free MIRUM®. Day and evening alike, the Stella McCartney silhouette blazes an ebullient creative path to a more sustainable world.
