The LVMH Group continues to support French charity Secours Populaire Français with a donation of 100,000 tubes of hydroalcoholic gel manufactured specially by the Group’s Maisons Parfums Christian Dior, Guerlain and LVMH Fragrance Brands. Thanks to this operation, Secours populaire will raise funds to finance its “Journées bonheur” , vacation outings for vulnerable families and individuals who would not otherwise be able to enjoy even a brief getaway this summer.
LVMH has been a partner of Secours Populaire since 2018 as part of a joint campaign called “Une Journée Pour Soi” – “A Day All Your Own” – that supports women living in vulnerable situations. LVMH recently continued this partnership with the donation to Secours Populaire of 100,000 tubes of hand sanitizer gel made by the Group’s Maisons.
The NGO will raise funds to finance its “Journées bonheur” an initiative organized by the charity to enable families made vulnerable by the crisis to enjoy vacation outings this summer. During the “Barrier gestures, solidarity gestures” operation, volunteers from Secours Populaire’s 98 french federations will offer the LVMH-made gel in return for donations from the general public during the summer, inviting people to choose the amount they wish to donate. The proceeds will be used to organize “Happy Days” outings of one to three days between July 1 and August 31 across France – walks in the forest, beach trips, sports and cultural activities – for people whose vulnerable living situation has been further exacerbated by the health crisis.
Antoine Arnault underlined the significance of the LVMH Group’s continued engagement: “We salute the tremendous efforts that Secours Populaire Français has made and continues to make to address the urgent health and social needs created by the Covid-19 crisis. Following the success of the first two editions of ‘Une Journée Pour Soi’ for women living in vulnerable situations, LVMH is proud to once again contribute to a campaign organized by Secours Populaire.”
