Nona Source, high-end materials resale platform, born from LVMH’s entrepreneurial program DARE, launches first UK Showroom at the Mills Fabrica in London

Dedicated to a new form of fashion, Nona Source offers professionals, from the Fashion and Design industries, the opportunity to purchase exclusive materials, originating from LVMH Maisons at a competitive price. Nona Source brings its ethos from Paris to London and opens its first UK showroom at the Mills Fabrica, in Kings Cross.

The opening of the London Location will bring new opportunities to fashion and design creatives in the UK, allowing them to weave in sustainable and circular fashion ethics into their collections, by using high-quality deadstock materials. Indeed, already back in 2017, Romain Brabo, expert in materials’ purchasing and manufacturing at Givenchy and Kenzo, discovered the “sleeping beauties” of these high-quality fabrics stored in the Maisons’ warehouses. He immediately saw the opportunity of giving them a new lease of life, by boosting their creative potential through a resale platform. Thanks to DARE, LVMH’s incubator for new projects to transform ideas into concrete solutions, and his encounter with Marie Falguera, expert in materials and environmental coordinator at Kenzo, and Anne Prieur du Perray, expert in Digital Transformation in Finance, the project was brought to life.

Now, after a few years, they open a “London showroom in one of the most creative places in the world. It is such a major step forward in Nona Sources’ commitment to develop circular creativity and creative re-use as well as supporting young and emerging designers, talent, and brands” indicates Romain Brabo, Co-Founder of Nona Source.

The project is also aligned with today’s time. Indeed, by revaluing deadstock fabrics and leathers from LVMH Fashion & Leather Goods Maisons, Nona Source offers a concrete solution addressing the challenges and opportunities of circularity, a key pillar of LVMH’s environmental strategy, as expressed in the Group’s LIFE 360 program (LIFE: LVMH Initiatives For the Environment). “To foster greater creative circularity in the fashion industry is one of the ambitions of the LVMH environmental strategy LIFE 360. Hosted by the Mills Fabrica, the opening of the Londoner Nona Source showroom is a great illustration of this commitment. By supporting the London and UK based creative community, we also aim at boosting circularity and upcycling of our unused fabrics as we have done with the Parisian showroom for one year now” comments Hélène Valade, Group Environment Director.

Partnering with the Mills Fabrica was then the most natural choice. As a matter of fact, the Mills Fabrica is an innovation platform dedicated to supporting fashion techstyle and agtech companies transitions to a more sustainable future, through innovation and collaborations. The Mills is a landmark revitalization project designed to create success stories of collaborations between innovators, entrepreneurs, organisations that together will drive positive change for future generations. “Nona Source’s profound mission not only strongly aligns with ours around sustainability, but they are also pioneering a new form of fashion that puts circular and no waste ethics at the forefront of luxury and cutting-edge design” said Nikita Jayasuriya, General Manager of the Mills Fabrica.

All in all, this new location will be a real tool to inspire and support creative and committed to sustainability designers, who want to revolutionise the fashion industry. “It’s no secret that the fashion industry has a huge waste issue; currently, less than 1% of material used to produce clothing is recycled into new textiles. This is where Nona Source comes in, taking these incredible deadstock fabrics and leather from the world’s leading fashion Maisons under the LVMH umbrella and offering them at competitive prices – meaning they are accessible for all brands, new and old” also indicates Stella McCartney.

The new location opens on the 11th of May 2022 and from this date, professional creatives will be able to book a private appointment with a Nona Source expert, via the Nona Source website and invent the future of luxury.
