IdentityLA GRANDE ÉPICERIE DE PARIS

Founded in 1923 within the Bon Marché Rive Gauche, La Grande Épicerie de Paris is now a gastronomical landmark in Paris. Its historic store on Rue de Sèvres showcases a wide selection of 30,000 items covering nearly 40,00 square feet of floor space. Its emblematic store sections featuring chocolate, olive oils, jams, spices, and many other products demonstrate the store’s commitment to quality, origin, and flavor. Chefs, pastry chefs, bakers, and cooks create and prepare dishes on site that embody the high standards and expertise of La Grande Épicerie. The Maison is also creating its own La Grande Épicerie de Paris collection designed with a single goal in mind: to offer the very best for everyday enjoyment. To round out this gourmet selection, La Cave—located in the store’s basement—offers a carefully curated selection of wines, champagnes, and spirits.Since November 2017, La Grande Épicerie de Paris has also had a location on Rue de Passy, in the 16tharrondissement. This second location carries on the spirit of the Maison and fully embodies its values in terms of curation, generosity, expertise, authenticity, quality, rarity, and passion in a setting designed as a true ode to gourmet delights.

La Grande Épicerie de Paris is, above all, a lively gathering place for sharing and experiencing life in the heart of the capital. It embodies the very essence of our artisans' expertise and the passion behind our meticulous selection process. Every gourmet food or wine product we select has a story behind it, that of a passionate producer, an exceptional region, or savoir faire passed down from generation to generation.

ICON

La Cave, a true hallmark of La Grande Épicerie de Paris, fully embodies the Maison’s spirit of discovery through its 8,500 varieties of champagne, wine, and spirits. Driven by the expertise of its cellar master, La Cave relies on a team of passionate buyers, sommeliers, and wine merchants, all united by the same commitment to quality and uniqueness. Grands crus classés, exclusive cuvées, champagnes from small independent producers, Japanese whiskies, French gins: each selection reflects a careful consideration of the terroir, producer, and savoir faire

SAVOIR FAIRE

For over 100 years, La Grande Épicerie de Paris has offered its customers more than 30,000 products, including sweet and savory grocery items, fresh foods (fish, meat, cheese, dairy, and produce), as well as wines, champagnes, and spirits. Every year, its experts select 4,000 new products from the best French and international producers. The heart of La Grande Épicerie de Paris also beats beneath the cobblestones: over 16,000 square feet of workspace is hidden below the store on Rue de Sèvres, where dozens of expert artisans specializing in baking, pastry, and cooking are hard at work. Every day, the same gestures repeated a thousand times are carried on with the same passion: the first batch of baguettes are baked early in the morning, followed by four more batches throughout the day, dishes are prepared to reflect the seasons, and rows upon rows of macarons are created, along with much more.
