Profile

POSITION PURPOSE:

The Digital Senior Product Owner will lead the vision, strategy and execution of key product initiatives. You will own end-to-end product development from identifying customer needs to delivering innovative solutions that drive business impact. You are responsible to lead and own the full product life cycle, liaising with a range of key stakeholders throughout the organization. Finally working in collaboration with Digital Product Director and Digital Engineering Manager to launch initiatives which will make web and app best in class along with offering a great Omni experience to the customer.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Define and communicate a clear product vision and strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Build, manage, and prioritize product roadmaps based on market research, customer feedback, and data insights.
  • Champion the needs of the Sephora Middle East customer and local business stakeholders to ensure local requirements are prominent on the road map.
  • Lead product discovery initiatives to identify new opportunities.
  • Manage full product lifecycle from ideation to launch, including research, defining requirements, project management, PI Planning, Program Management, QA, UAT and launch strategy.
  • Overseeing all stages of product lifecycle from product creation, including design and development.
  • Collaborate with design, engineering, marketing, and sales teams to deliver successful product launches.
  • Experience in building end-to-end customer journey including Post order, Last Mike, Loyalty and Omni Channel features.
  • Gather and synthesize input from customers, stakeholders, and internal teams.
  • Define OKR's and analyze product performance using KPIs and make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement to meet the OKR's.
  • Serve as a product evangelist, both internally and externally.
  • Mentor and guide Product Owners or Associate Product Managers, helping them grow.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment across departments.
  • Stay updated on market trends, competition, and emerging technologies.
  • Define User Stories, a short and clear description of the customer's needs, to make sure they can be done within the allocated budget.
  • Assemble & lead a cross-functional core team to manage delivery of the product definition and project plan including costs, schedule, risks, contingencies, and estimated business results.
  • Manage all external vendors and their deliverables.
  • Working with project team and end-users to deliver updates and status reports.
  • Independently and proactively lead/facilitate efforts to identify opportunities to leverage technology to enhance customer experience.
  • Define success metrics for new projects and work with the customer experience team to track the performance for existing products to understand effectiveness of digital products
  • Review the current tools usage and value delivered and evaluate if any new solutions are required to deliver value with lesser cost.
  • Research, troubleshoot, diagnose, and recommend solutions when challenged by business and technical problems

 

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years’ proven experience working as Digital Product Owner or in a similar role.
  • Experience In end-to-end customer journey Last mile, and Omni channel features.
  • Experience in composable, microservices and headless architecture.
  • In-depth knowledge of waterfall, scrum and agile software development methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of product development architecture.
  • Proficiency in the use of analytic tools and strong analytical thinking.
  • Excellent knowledge of user-centered design principles, excellent oral and written communication including presentation skills.
  • Ability to work with large teams and a variety of people, including users, product development team members and management team members.
  • Understanding of design quality standards.
  • Effective people leadership and management skills to support an environment for high functioning, productive and engaged teams to operate.
