Country Director – Brazil

As part of its strong development in the LATAM region, Bulgari is seeking a Country Director for Brazil with proven leadership and operational expertise in the retail industry. This role is pivotal in driving strategic growth, overseeing operational excellence, and leading a high-performing team across multiple business units.

The Brazil Country Director is responsible for overseeing the overall strategy, operations, and performance of Bulgari's business in Brazil. This includes driving sales growth, enhancing the client experience, and ensuring operational excellence in alignment with global brand standards. This individual will serve as the primary leader for the country, providing strategic guidance, cross-functional leadership, and ensuring compliance with corporate policies and procedures.

Job responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team to achieve excellence in sales, customer experience, and operational execution.
  • Establish and execute country-level business strategies and action plans to achieve short-term and long-term objectives.
  • Ensure sales and retail KPI targets are met and exceeded through effective client engagement, business development, and operational excellence.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to corporate leadership and provide market insights, competitive analysis, and growth recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with high-net-worth clients, corporate stakeholders, and key partners.
  • Ensure adherence to Bulgari's global standards, policies, and procedures in all operations, loss prevention, and client service protocols.
  • Oversee financial management for the region, including P&L oversight, budget management, and expense control.
  • Represent Bulgari at key market events and corporate meetings.
  • Drive initiatives for the High Jewelry and High-End Watches business development, in partnership with merchandising, CRM and sales teams.
  • Collaborate with the Human Resources team to attract, develop, and retain top talent.
  • Ensure team is being trained and has ability to deliver successful results, knowledge and developing sales techniques.
  • Create a supportive environment that enables the team to achieve store goals and objectives.
  • Actively participate in community events and maintain a visible presence in the community to develop existing and new client base and to project a positive and appealing brand image.

Profile

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience in multi-unit, multi-region luxury retail leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive sales growth and achieve financial objectives.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and engage key stakeholders.
  • Expertise in leading large teams and fostering a performance-driven, collaborative culture.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to think strategically and translate strategies into actionable plans.
  • Proficiency in using financial reporting tools and data to support decision-making.
  • Availability to travel as needed within the region and to international corporate offices.
  • Commitment to Bulgari’s brand values of boldness, passion, and innovation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Retail Management, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in retail, at least 5 years in a senior leadership role & experience managing luxury retail stores.
  • Proven track record of managing multi-site operations and driving sales growth.
  • Significant experience living and working in Brazil, as well as in Latin America, with extensive knowledge of the Brazilian market, is strongly preferred.
  • Fluency in English and Portuguese is required.
