Position

Main Mission

Ensure the monitoring and optimization of the category’s performance across Europe, supporting the regional strategy and working in close collaboration with the central Business Unit (BU), local merchandisers, and Europe HQ departments.

The role combines strong analytical expertise, product sensitivity, and cross-functional coordination to guarantee the performance category and distribution aligned with the Maison’s priorities.

Job responsibilities

1. Performance Analysis

As the category referent for Europe, you ensure rigorous and consistent business performance follow-up

 You ensure accuracy of reporting and provide actionable insights to support business decisions.

 

  • Weekly and monthly analysis of key KPIs (sales, sell-through, stock levels).
  • Proactive identification of performance drivers and formulation of optimization recommendations (replenishment, transfers, product focuses).
  • Preparation and presentation of business reviews

 

2. Showroom, Buying & Product Assortment

You are fully integrated into the European showroom buying process (4 times per year).

  • Consolidation of market needs and feedback in close collaboration with local merchandisers.
  • Definition of the buying strategy considering zone vision and objectives by product line, product potential, central recommendations, and budget constraints.
  • Order placement in the system and KPI monitoring during showroom sessions.
  • Preparation of analytical tools and presentations ahead of and during showroom.
  • Allocation at store in line with cluster strategy and specific market needs, in coordination with Supply Chain.

You are also responsible for building and monitoring the permanent offer:

  • Proposal of a consistent permanent assortment each season by cluster, use of the dedicated tool.
  • Proactive recommendations regarding SKU additions or phase-outs based on market needs.
  • Follow-up of permanent product forecasts with Europe Planning, sharing key category insights.

 

3. Cross-Functional Coordination

You act as a key interface between the BU, Europe Head Office stakeholders, and Europe local markets (Retail Merchandisers).

  • Regular exchanges with local merchandisers: consolidation of market feedback, communications and support on product-related client needs.
  • Coordination with Europe HO functions to ensure smooth category information flow: Supply Chain & Planning, Visual Merchandising, and Training.
  • Animation of the retail community and proposal of impactful communications.

 

4. Product Expertise & Competitive Monitoring

You demonstrate strong expertise in your category and play an active role in understanding product and market dynamics, enriching quantitative analysis with qualitative insights.

  • Sensitivity to trends and product dimensions (pricing, sizes, materials, colors) by market and nationality.
  • Ongoing competitive monitoring (positioning, launches, pricing, best-sellers).
  • Structured sharing of market insights and customer trends.

Profile

 

  • 7–10 years of experience in retail merchandising, ideally within a luxury Maison.
  • Fluent English.
  • Strong analytical rigor, and excellent use of IT tools including Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong product sensitivity
  • Ability to work in an international environment with a collaborative mindset, strong attention to detail, and results- and client-oriented approach.
