Position

OVERALL, MISSION

The Logistics Manager will play an instrumental role in domestic operations for Louis Vuitton Japan. He/She will oversee all warehousing operations and domestic transportation. The ideal candidate will be able to tackle multiple tasks in parallel and be problem solver. He/She will need a very high sense of anticipation and will have at heart to provide the best client service possible to our internal clients and ultimately our final customer.

※This position located in Itabashi

Job responsibilities

MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1.Warehouse operations management / in very close partnership with our 3PL

    • Monitor the right execution of daily warehouse activity
    • Challenge and secure the proper planning of resources in regard of forecasted activity
    • Animate continuous improvement plan with 3PL
    • Follow-up 3PL performance animation on weekly/monthly/quarterly basis.
    • Animate yearly business review with 3PL

2.Logistics organization business owner

    • Act as the local business owner of our WMS (Generix Infolog)
    • Roll-out LV logistics core model in Japan (WMS evolutions, new features, automatization)
    • Represent Japan within LV global logistics community. Benchmark best practices.
    • Animate continuous improvement of our model key KPIs : leadtime, agility, accuracy, service

3.Domestic transportation

    • Oversee the right execution of domestic transportation, either to stores or end customers.
    • Animation the relationship with domestic transportation providers

4.Sustainability

    • Be part of the global LV sustainability community
    • Roll-out local logistics actions plan (decarbonize transportation, eliminate plastics, promote recycling/upcycling)
    • Source new local solutions and build partnerships to pursue further the green transformation

5.Cost management

    • Accountable for the overall cost of logistics operations
    • Follow-up and report costs on a monthly basis
    • Propose and implement optimizations of cost without impacting service level
    • Prepare and report future budgets (rolling costs and investments)

6.Communication

  • Extended communication skills are expected
  • Liaise with stores BOH teams to ensure the continuity of the service from warehouse to stores
  • Ensure regular communication with e-commerce teams, supply chain team and all other internal clients.

 

Profile

JOB REQUIREMENT

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in warehouse or distribution center management and/or 3PL management.
  • Strong analytical skills to monitor and improve KPIs such as lead time, agility, accuracy, and service.
  • Familiarity with sustainability practices in logistics, such as decarbonizing transportation and promoting recycling/upcycling.
  • Capable of sourcing new local solutions and building partnerships for green transformation.
  • Ability to manage and optimize logistics costs without impacting service levels.
  • Experience in preparing and reporting future budgets and investments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Business level written Japanese and English is required.
