Belmond celebrates the return of the Britannic Explorer, the first ever luxury sleeper train in England and Wales, now on the rails for the start of a new season.

From the Lake District to the peaks of Snowdonia, the Yorkshire Dales to the Chilterns, the Pembrokeshire coast to the craggy shorelines of Cornwall, the British Isles are blessed with countless wild places. These routes have inspired the Britannic Explorer, made of the people and landscapes through which it travels.

Masterminded by design studio Albion Nord, the train is more than a luxury interior – it is a showcase of the craft and industry inspired by the routes through which it rolls.

This national icon on rails pays homage to the Great British tradition of touring while driving it forward with new rhythms of culture and creativity. From the Welsh valleys to Cornwall’s sparkling seas and the Lake District’s jagged peaks, the passengers will discover all that is intriguing, quirky and quintessentially British. Properly dressed yet unbuttoned, this is a moving portrait of Britain – rewritten, refined, reinvented.
