Bvlgari has inaugurated its newly expanded Manifattura Bvlgari in Valenza, the largest single-brand jewelry manufacturing site in the world.
Spanning 33,000 square meters dedicated to the artistry and genius of Made in Italy craftsmanship, the facility enables the Roman High Jeweler to double production capacity, with plans to recruit more than 500 new artisans by 2029.
A model of sustainability innovation, the expansion covers half the energy needs of the facility, with the remainder coming from 100% renewable energy sources. It integrates cutting-edge technologies including a geothermal field and over 4,100 photovoltaic panels, consolidating its LEED GOLD certification. Bvlgari has since 2022 used exclusively RJC CoC certified gold in all its jewelry creations, ensuring irreproachable traceability of ethical practices.
The Manifattura also welcomes the Scuola Bvlgari, the Maison's first publicly accessible education center entirely dedicated to jewelry, deepening its commitment to passing on exceptional jewelry craft expertise. The 1,000-square-meter center will train a new generation of exceptional artisans, teaching both traditional and state-of-the-art techniques in partnership with the Tarì Design School (TADS). Alongside the Bvlgari Jewelry Academy, the school offers professional courses in goldsmithing and gemstone setting, combining tutoring from master artisans and innovative methodologies. This approach affirms Bvlgari's commitment to forging enduring ties between tradition and modernity.
Environmental responsibility, creativity, innovation and savoir-faire transmission go hand in hand at the new Manifattura, which is emblematic of Bvlgari's holistic approach to manufacturing sites.
“ Bvlgari Manifattura in Valenza embodies the Brand’s holistic vision for manufacturing sites, combining environmental responsibility, knowledge transmission, and employee well-being. A milestone in Bvlgari’s vertical integration strategy, aiming to oversee the entire production process within a workplace that fosters continuous innovation and improvement. With artisans from more than 30 different nationalities, Manifattura Bvlgari is a vibrant crossroads of cultures, fueled by a shared passion for excellence.
