Summer has arrived at Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche and La Grande Épicerie de Paris, which have made over the department store into a seaside destination with the exhibition Tout Beau et Tout Bronzé, which runs until August 24. The sun-drenched escapade makes each floor a special stop on this year’s summer holiday itinerary.
The getaway begins as soon as visitors enter the store, as the grandiose main foyer becomes a giant sandcastle, dotted with colorful buckets and oversized balloons. Designed as an ebullient interlude, the immersive scenography is a one-way ticket to summer fun at the seaside.
Like a travel diary, the offering celebrates iconic destinations as Le Bon Marché welcomes exclusive creations from dream hotels, from the French Riviera to Sicily. The Lily of the Valley hotel presents a sunny collaboration with designer Aurélie Bidermann, while the Belmond Villa San Andrea unveils a line inspired by the dolce vita.
Guest of honor for the event Johanna Ortiz embodies summer elegance. The Colombian designer has created a pop-up space called La Plaza Johanna Ortiz, 220 square meters bathed in warm light, inspired by a traditional village square. Tropical print dresses are joined by a typical South American café and a fresh flower stand, setting the tone for a refined, sensual and radiant summer.
Tout Beau et Tout Bronzé at Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche is a veritable ode to escape where the art of travel meets craft, lightness and whimsy.
