After having unveiled a preview of exceptional locations around the world, followed by unprecedented experiences at the heart of the Maisons, Les Journées Particulières now shine a light on those who embody their savoir-faire. Château de La Colle Noire: Christian Dior’s refuge

At the Château de La Colle Noire, Parfums Christian Dior opens the doors to a place that reveals the couturier’s most intimate world. Between the Château and its gardens, nature, fragrance, and creation form a single, deeply evocative landscape. For Aurélien Michel, Manager of the Château, "it’s the intimate world of a man unveiled, his imagination." Shaped by the sensitivity of Christian Dior, the estate maintains a profound connection with the Grasse region and with the Maison’s olfactory universe. Every flower, every pathway, every scent bears the trace of what nourished his inspiration. The couturier envisioned La Colle Noire as a place of dialogue between art, elegance, and nature, set in a Provence deeply intertwined with the history of perfume. Miss Dior, born of these landscapes and Provençal evenings, remains one of its truest reflections. Today, Aurélien Michel brings this heritage to life: "More than just a residence, this place stands out as a living style book, formed by nature and stone, a source of inspiration in and of itself." Through its gardens, its fragrances, and the artworks it houses, La Colle Noire thus reveals Christian Dior as much as the Maison itself, in an ever-living dialogue between nature and creation.

Heading to Bvlgari, at the heart of the magnetic allure of gems

In Rome, the historic Bvlgari boutique on Via dei Condotti opens its doors for an exploration of the worlds of high jewelry, watchmaking, and leather goods, revealing the diversity of the Maison’s craftsmanship. Angelo Santini, a gemologist since 1982 and Bvlgari buyer since 1995, shares his perspective on the stones that form the core of the Maison's identity: "Each gem carries within it the story of a unique terroir, a precise balance of geological conditions, pressure, and time that gives rise to its unique color, brilliance, and character." Since discovering gems in Sri Lanka in 1985, this fascination led him to leave his office job to dedicate himself entirely to gemology and the quest for these jewels. His vision aligns with that of Bvlgari, whose history has rested since its origins on a subtle balance between heritage and creative freedom: the Greek roots of its founder, Sotirio Bulgari, converse with the influence of Italy, while the vibrant colors of the gems and yellow gold meet the rigor of architectural forms. In the Maison’s boutiques, this vision translates into audacious color combinations, exceptional craftsmanship, and vibrant creativity. A dialogue between material, heritage, and innovation, where gems remain both the starting point of inspiration and its ultimate horizon.

Behind the scenes of knitwear with Loro Piana

In Ghemme, Loro Piana opens the doors of its Knitwear Center of Excellence, entirely dedicated to the craft of knitted fabrics. In this modern architectural setting, traditional craftsmanship sits alongside sophisticated techniques, striking a perfect balance between heritage and modernity. Mariolina Costantin, a linking teacher at Loro Piana and LVMH Virtuoso, has worked within the Maison for over forty years. She embodies one of the most delicate gestures in the world of knitwear: linking, which consists of precisely joining the different elements of a knitted garment to give it its final shape. Rare and demanding, this expertise is also the moment where creative ideas become prototypes and projects come to life. A profound respect for wool guides this daily work, while the Ghemme Center fosters a dialogue between traditionally inherited techniques and the most innovative processes. Now a trainer, Mariolina Costantin is dedicated to passing on this craftsmanship: "I now pass on what the Maison taught me, the techniques, the attention to detail and the strong belief that these skills must be preserved and passed on to future generations.”

In Madrid, Loewe’s Leatherworking Artistry

In Madrid, the Casa Loewe boutique showcases several emblematic leatherworking savoir-faire, notably weaving and intarsia. The former consists of intertwining leather strips to create richly textured motifs; the latter, traditionally associated with decorative wood inlay, has been transposed to leather goods by the Loewe teams. For Javier Dorado, Leather Goods and Accessories Technical Manager at Loewe, whose connection to leather dates back to his childhood, “the material is the blank page, the very first source of inspiration.” Since its creation in 1846, the Maison has selected exceptional leathers, including Nappa, renowned for its fine grain and remarkable suppleness. In the Maison’s ateliers, the meticulous gestures of the artisans are complemented by the most innovative technologies. For intarsia, the pieces are laser-cut, then entirely assembled by hand. This blend of artisanal precision and contemporary techniques illustrates how Loewe continually brings its heritage to life by reinventing it.

In Verzy, the art of Pinot Noir

In the heart of the Champagne vineyards, the Manoir de Verzy invites visitors to follow in the footsteps of Madame Clicquot and discover Pinot Noir - her favorite grape variety and the Maison's signature - alongside its winemakers and ambassadors. Antoine Dauphin, Vineyard Development Manager at Veuve Clicquot, shares his perspective on this historic terroir: “Before the French Revolution, the monks of the abbey were already cultivating vines here. Here, the history of champagne unfolds, provided one pays attention. For, at first glance, it might look like any other vineyard. Yet the secret is right here, hidden, invisible. We have replanted part of the parcel. A delicate operation that leaves no room for improvisation, planned over years with patience and precision, in absolute respect for natural cycles.” At the Clos Saint-Basle, one of the Maison’s historic parcels, the vines tell a story dating back to the era when the abbey's monks first cultivated a vineyard. Today, its regeneration perpetuates this heritage: the old vines are uprooted, and the soil is prepared and regenerated using cover crops, before young Pinot Noir vines are planted. A long-term approach that allows the vineyard to bring together multiple generations of vines, preserving that singular taste, balancing structure and finesse. In Verzy, winemaking savoir-faire thus reveals itself as a perfect balance between respect for living ecosystems, precision of gesture, and the transmission of terroir.
