Louis Vuitton is pleased to announce the opening of applications for the second edition of the Louis Vuitton Watch Prize for Independent Creatives.
Organized by the Maison’s Swiss-based watch manufacture La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton, the prize celebrates innovation, creativity and savoir-faire in the art of watchmaking and supports the pursuit of excellence by talented watchmakers around the world.
The inaugural edition of the prize drew more than 1,000 submissions from artisans in 15 countries. The jury awarded the prize to Swiss watchmaker Raúl Pagès for his RP1 - Régulateur à Détente timepiece, underlining Louis Vuitton’s commitment to nurturing talents who push the limits of horological craft.
For this new edition, candidates have until April 15, 2025 to submit their creative projects. A shortlist of 20 semi-finalists will be announced in July, followed by the selection of five finalists in November. The winner, who will be named in February 2026, will receive a grant of 150,000 euros as well as personal mentoring from La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton and strategic support to help them develop their project.
This prize affirms Louis Vuitton’s active support for independent creatives who boldly continue to reinvent contemporary watchmaking.
