Following its return to the world of tennis in 2023, Louis Vuitton has renewed its partnership with the Australian Open, reaffirming its commitment to tennis and sporting excellence.
The celebrated trunkmaker has designed bespoke Louis Vuitton Monogram trunks for the tournament’s legendary trophies: the Daphne Akhurst Memorial Cup for women and the Norman Brookes Challenge Cup for men. The trunks will be on show before the start of the finals and during the prizegiving ceremonies. Lined with blue to honor the tournament’s color palette, the cases showcase the white AO Australian Open logo on the underside of the lid.
Handcrafted in Louis Vuitton’s historic workshops in Asnières, the trunks are covered in the iconic Louis Vuitton Monogram canvas and feature a white “V” for “Victory” and “Vuitton”. The blue microfiber lining echoes the signature blue courts of the Australian Open, and the event’s white AO logo adds a refined finishing touch.
The bespoke creations were unveiled during the men’s and women’s finals on January 25 and 26, 2025 and shared the spotlight during the trophy awards ceremonies.
Tennis Australia CEO Craig Tiley saluted this collaboration, which illustrates a shared commitment to the values of excellence and innovation, along with a great respect for tradition.
With these exceptional bespoke trunks, Louis Vuitton continues to celebrate craft, audacity and creativity, carrying on a proud history of partnerships with major sports events.
