Rooted in China, Passing on Excellence: The Chinese Practice of LVMH’s Métiers d’Excellence
The excellence and desirability of the LVMH Group and its Maisons spring from the remarkable skills in the Creative, Craft and Client Experience professions that together comprise the LVMH Métiers d’Excellence. Today, the program encompasses over 280 savoir-faire métiers, upheld and perpetuated by 110,000 LVMH employees worldwide who put these professional skills into practice, making them a key driver of the Group’s and its Maisons’ continued success. Within this framework, outstanding representatives of exceptional savoir-faire are conferred the title of Virtuoso, in recognition of senior experts who possess extraordinary expertise and extensive experience in their respective fields, and who are dedicated to mentoring the next generation.
In 2024, the LVMH Métiers d’Excellence program officially launched in China, marking a new milestone in the Group’s global efforts to preserve and promote savoir-faire. Since the program’s arrival in China, two cohorts of local Virtuosos have been cultivated, and they will continue to drive the transmission of savoir-faire, promoting and spreading these exceptional skills to a broader community of young talent.
Episode One: The Art of Client Experience Through the Eyes of Three Virtuosos
At LVMH, savoir-faire is not confined to the masterful handwork of the ateliers — it extends to every moment of interaction with clients. Client experience, alongside craft and creative, constitutes the three core pillars of the LVMH Métiers d’Excellence. Among them, client experience is rooted in human connection, serving as a key vehicle for expressing the spirit of each Maison.
The first episode spotlights three 2025 Chinese Virtuosos, showcasing their mastery and touching moments in client experience. Hugo, Personal Shopper at Louis Vuitton, channels the passion for people and the world from his tour guide days into his service philosophy, believing that “true excellence is a lifetime companion” and transforming the bond between clients and the Maison from friendship into family. Amura, Store Director at Loro Piana Beijing SKP, embodies the Maison's pursuit of sourcing the finest raw materials worldwide; guided by the conviction that “the highest form of craftsmanship is to awaken the five senses”, she understands the expectations clients never voice aloud. Aki, Assistant Store Manager at Givenchy, entered the industry with a background in the arts, upholding the principle of “understanding the person first, then shaping the beauty” — a decade of companionship has transformed her curiosity into enduring trust, making the Maison a participant in her clients' pivotal life moments.
Together, their practice vividly illustrates how unparalleled craftsmanship culminates in client experiences beyond expectation.
The LVMH Métiers d’Excellence Trilogy: from Initial Connection to Enduring Relationships
The series unfolds a panoramic portrait of LVMH’s Chinese Virtuosos along the arc of the complete client journey.
Following the first episode’s exploration of the art of client experience, the next two episodes will lead audiences into broader realms of savoir-faire. Episode two focuses on the realm of Craft, turning its lens to three after-sales restoration experts who pass on their craftsmanship through passion, transcend time with their hands, and recreate extraordinary restoration artistry at the smallest scale — upholding each Maison’s promise for generations. Episode three extends the perspective to three Virtuosos who span the entire client journey, from front-of-house to behind the scenes — building brand experiences through creativity and mastery, connecting emotional resonance through storytelling, and perpetuating lasting trust through professional care, ensuring that every detail radiates the extraordinary.
Together, the trilogy completes the full arc from initial connection to enduring relationships, profoundly embodying LVMH’s pursuit of excellence across the three pillars of creative, craft, and client experience.
Episodes two and three will premiere on the LVMH China WeChat Official Account in September 2026.
