Five years after its launch, the pioneering platform for the reuse of exceptional materials is reaffirming its leading role in the circular economy serving the creative industries.
Founded in 2021 within LVMH through the DARE intrapreneurship programme (Disrupt, Act, Risk to be an Entrepreneur), Nona Source is the first platform dedicated to repurposing deadstock from luxury Maisons. Designed as a practical reuse solution, it provides professionals with access to fabrics, leathers, yarns, and soon haberdashery, opening up new creative possibilities from existing materials.
In five years, Nona Source has enabled more than 20,000 references from over 25 luxury Maisons, both within and beyond the Group, to be brought back into circulation. By promoting the reuse of existing materials, the platform helps reduce resource waste and manage environmental impact, while encouraging a circular approach to creation. Its Paris showroom, initially housed in a 30-square-metre space, now spans 120 square metres. Today, Nona Source brings together more than 2,500 clients across 50 countries, illustrating the growing interest among designers, brands, and artisans in this model for unlocking the value of deadstock. In 2025, it recorded a 30% increase in visitor numbers compared with 2024 and surpassed 20,000 orders.
“In five years, Nona Source has established itself as the leader in circularity in the textile market: it is now an accelerator of the circular economy for fashion Maisons, and a source of inspiring materials for young designers. With a new brand identity, Nona Source is opening a new chapter in its history with the ambition to be the spearhead of responsible creation, in the world of fashion and beyond”, says Hélène Valade, Environment Development Group Director, LVMH.
To celebrate this anniversary, Nona Source presented “L’Appartement”, an immersive scenography unveiled on 11 June 2026 at the Orangerie of the Jardin d’Acclimatation. Conceived as a showcase for the creativity of its community, the installation brought together creations made from Nona Source materials by its clients and partners, revealing the potential of deadstock across a variety of fields, from furniture to packaging.
With this celebration, Nona Source is highlighting the diversity of possible uses for materials and the richness of the ecosystem it brings together: Maisons, emerging designers, established brands, and artisans. The platform intends to continue this momentum in the years ahead, particularly around leather, interior architecture, and soon haberdashery, while further strengthening material traceability and transparency.
In five years, Nona Source has thus demonstrated that another model is possible: one in which existing materials become a resource for the future, at the crossroads of desirability, craftsmanship, and commitment.
