Tiffany & Co. Celebrates Its Iconic Heritage and Jean Schlumberger’s Design Legacy with the Rope Watch

Tiffany & Co. today unveils the Rope watch, a new jewelry watch that pays tribute to the memorably poetic creations of legendary Tiffany designer Jean Schlumberger.
Inspired by his iconic twisted motif, the Rope watch blends timeless elegance with inventive watchmaking technology.
Evoking textile braids and weaves, Jean Schlumberger's Rope motif has been translated into an 18-karat yellow gold watch with a white mother-of-pearl or glossy black dial. The bezel surrounding the dial is highlighted by two circles of solid gold rope, separated by a ring of round brilliant diamonds.
Beyond its refined aesthetic, the Rope watch marks an innovative technological advance for Tiffany & Co., featuring its first solar-powered movement, designed in collaboration with Swiss movement manufacturer La Joux-Perret. Set beneath the dial, the discreet solar cells provide the watch with autonomous power for eight months without exposure to sunlight.
Finely worked details showcase the expertise of Tiffany & Co. artisans. The rope motif also features on the minute hand, and the case-back has an engraved sun logo and a diamond to represent this new luminous collection. The watch is complemented by an alligator strap in Tiffany Blue® for the mother-of-pearl dial or black for the glossy black dial.
With the Rope watch, Tiffany & Co. celebrates the visionary heritage of Jean Schlumberger and affirms its commitment to boldly creative and sustainable watchmaking.
