Position

MAIN MISSIONS

The position is based in Korea He/She manages Store Planning activities related to the development of luxury boutiques.

The Store Project Manager is in charge of technical/time/cost/quality control. His/Her duties: supervise and manage the entire process of the store project, from location due-diligence to layout definition, organization up to final delivery, respecting Fendi concept guidelines as well as local requirements, acting as point of reference for all professional representatives involved, internal and external to the company.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

The Store Project Manager works closely with corporate and regional teams (Product, Retail, Wholesale, Finance, Legal, Visual Merchandising, IT, Loss Prevention) to ensure the correct development of all aspects of the project which include also the direct control and responsibility of other aspects: Procurement, Admin, Logistic. The SPM is also responsible for hiring and managing external consultants as architects and engineers, contractors and direct vendors. As well, to handle costs, scheduling and quality of projects throughout the entire process of planning and construction. The position, comprehensive of all described duties, reports directly to Managing Director Store Planning Regional Director role.


Profile

Duties among others:

  • Supervise and coordinate all architectural and construction activities involved with the renovation or creation of a new boutique, from SIS to Flagship
  • Prepare feasibility studies, to evaluate locations and estimate budgets and timings
  • Collaborate with Finance Dept. to finalize budgets
  • Collaborate with Legal Dept. to finalize contracts
  • Collect start-up information from corporate and local parties (Managing Director, Retail Managers, Partners, etc.) necessary to develop the design in accordance with company commercial requirements
  • Establish contact with Landlords architectural team, to get location drawings, guidelines and all other necessary technical start-up information
  • Coordinate with headquarter designers to prepare location lay-out to match planned retail sales and organize internal review with all corporate and local teams involved
  • Prepare Capex and Cost Report and update it regularly along the project development
  • Handles administration works, including project digital and hardcopy files, reviews and manage invoices approval process up to payment, government required certification, etc.
  • Organize bidding and award of all consultants and supervise their activities and outcomes
  • Organize general contractors and millwork contractors bidding, evaluate tender documents and offers and coordinate works assignment, supervise and monitor all construction process
  • Manage all Direct Vendors orders and imports
  • Review consultants and contractors drawings to ensure consistence with projects and concept, from preliminary submission up to construction and shop-drawings
  • Visit construction sites and/or monitor from remote, preparing reports, from setting-out to punch list completion and opening, to ensure quality of building construction and millwork installation, identifying outstanding issues and ensuring appropriate follow-up
  • Manages store handover activities working closely with Retail and all local Team, ensuring full store operation (monitor all tests & commissions – M&E systems, AV systems, etc.)
  • Coordinate store all pre-opening and opening phases (lighting pointing, photo shooting, etc.) and prepare opening brochure for Company internal formal announcement
  • Collect as-built drawings and keep record of store opening information, finalize financial accounts closures
  • Support HQ for selection and certification of new Contractors, Millworkers, Local Architects and Consultants

 

STANDARD LEVEL OF COMPETENCIES

(Education, professional experience, foreign languages etc.)

Experience :

Local Korean with 7-8 years of applicable retail experience inside a comparable luxury international company or similar complexity

Education :

Degree in Architecture or related Engineering fields (University degree or similar)

Skill :

  • Computer skills: Autocad 2D/3D, Photoshop, all Office programs
  • Problem solving
  • Detail oriented. Proactive and highly organized
  • Multitasking, able to quickly shift from design creativity to admin/management
  • Decision-making. Able to work independently, but also collaboratively with cross functional teams
  • Self-motivated, able to work under pressure and tight dead-lines
  • Excellent command in written and spoken English
