For our Wholesale Team in Oberursel/Frankfurt am Main we are looking for a

Wholesale Manager Central Europe (m/f/d)

As Wholesale Manager you are responsible to drive all aspects of Sales, Business Development and Customer management in the Central Europe subsidiary for a business operated via various distribution channels including Wholesale, Travel Retail and partner’s E-Commerce. You are primarily responsible to achieve sell-out, turnover and operating profit growth target of the department whilst applying the company´s global strategy. You lead a sales team active in 3 markets, and coordinate commercial strategy together with the General Manager, Marketing Manager, Finance Director, Retail Manager and HR Manager.

 

WHAT TO EXPECT

Multibrand Sales Development

  • Define and implement sales strategy and operational excellence for the three markets Germany, Austria and the Netherlands in order to achieve company sales and profitability objectives
  • Develop multibrand partnerships (independent watchmakers and jewelers, department stores, selective distribution networks) and deploy of the Brand's sales policy & guidelines in points of sale
  • Lead commercial negotiations with clients along with sales team
  • Drive and communicate budgets as well as targets to teams, partners and monitor network performance and reporting of KPIs to management
  • Participate in the evolution of functional tools (Sales Force, Retail software, traffic counters, mystery shoppers, customer database, CRM)
  • Build-up detailed commercial plans for new product launches (including assortment, timing, initial sell in, necessary stock, etc...)
  • Continuous challenge distribution network, challenge existing distribution and identify growth opportunities in line with the company’s strategy
  • Manage and upgrade skills of the commercial wholesale team (objectives, performance follow up, management, negotiations)

Area brand building

  • Create long-term relationships with customers (independent jewelers, department stores and specialized chains) in order to be recognized as a trusted business partner
  • Implement sustainable growth by supervising wholesale operations (organizing events, building the assortment, merchandising, training, analysing customers and market trends, controlling inventory, forecasting stocks, implementing incentives, etc.)
  • Coordinate marketing plans with the Marketing Manager as well as marketing related actions including merchandising, channel incentives, local events and training programs, with the marketing department
  • Upgrade continuously visibility, Share of Voice and brand as Top of Mind
  • Reinforce the current and upcoming retailers’ community through strategic and regular activities, as ambassadors club, top partners summit, other

Customer Operations

  • Manage the sales coordinator team
  • Secure that order management, deliveries, products allocations and assortment are managed at the best, on time, in full, in budget
  • Roll-out in coordination with the team continuous performance assessment and improvement
  • Promote a D2C mindset
  • Align with Finance on product forecasts to secure targets achievement

Profile

WHAT MAKES YOU SPECIAL

  • You have successfully graduated in International Business or similar
  • Your very good linguistic and written communication skills in German and English distinguish you, French is a plus
  • You have already collected at least 6 years of professional experience in the field of sales, preferably in the luxury goods and/or FMCG industry, and always think in a customer-oriented way
  • You have a proven track record in leading sales teams, and you know how to motivate and inspire your team
  • You are proactive and bring a high level of organizational skills, reliability, social competence and courage with you
  • Your inquisitive nature and strong ambition enable you to continuously further development
  • You are proficient in the use of MS Office and digital presentations
  • International experience in a private or professional context as well as a good understanding of the luxury retail and the watch industry is also an advantage
