Position Overview

As a Merchandising Analyst Intern, you'll be immersed in the world of luxury retail, working alongside a dynamic team. You'll gain firsthand experience in how Tiffany & Co. translates its product vision into a captivating in-store experience. 

Key Accountabilities

  • Assist with critical tasks such as building a strong bridge among Merchandising, VM, Supply Chain and Stores through inventory management combining Sales History trends (cadenced sales analysis/product marketing analysis) Market Potential and Forecasts (client profile discovery and competitor analysis) and Luxury Market Trends to have the best assortment shaped for each door. This will be crucial to allow Senior Team Members to focus on strategy.

Support Business Objectives

  • Trend Analysis: Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activity to identify opportunities and potential challenges. Contribute to insightful reports that support strategic business decisions.
  • Sales Review: Assist in preparing performance review materials, including data compilation, presentation development, and summarization of key findings.
  • Market Initiative Tracking: Monitor new retail initiatives across regions and stores, consolidate feedback, and communicate updates to internal stakeholders.

Space Planning & Assortment

  • Assortment Strategy: Support the Merchandising Manager in managing product assortment plans, adapting selections by store type and maintaining a cohesive brand experience.
  • Product Lifecycle Analysis: Evaluate the performance of product collections to inform decisions on inventory management, placement, and promotional strategies.

Product Support & Opportunities

  • Communication & Tools: Assist in creating materials and tools that support store teams in launching and promoting new products.
  • Launch Monitoring: Track new product launches, collect feedback from stores, and support ongoing optimization efforts.

Team Support & Data Optimization

  • Data Analysis: Provide analytical support by organizing datasets, performing key analyses, and contributing to regular reporting.
  • Process Improvement: Develop new reporting and analytical tools to improve current merchandising processes and support strategic planning.

Required Qualifications

  • Academic Background: Currently enrolled in a Master’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, or a related field. Master level is mandatory.
  • Interest in Retail: Strong motivation to learn about merchandising and the luxury retail environment, ideally with an interest in jewelry or fashion.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; strong team player with an ability to work across departments.
  • Analytical Mindset: Demonstrated ability to work with data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
  • Organizational Skills: Highly organized with solid time management skills; able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with rigor.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Advanced Excel skills are essential.
    • Power BI proficiency is a strong plus.
  • Language: French and English proficiency required
  • 6 months internship (Asap)
