We are searching for an outgoing and self-motivated team member to support our Head Office Team with immediate effect as Accountant (m/w/D) for our Northern Europe cluster.
Your Responsibilities
- Execute the month-end close process efficiently and accurately, ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded and reconciled by deadlines
- Provide comprehensive support for travel expense management, including reviewing expense reports for compliance with company policies and, processing reimbursements
- Uphold and reinforce robust financial controls and corporate governance standards across all financial operations
- Effectively cooperate and coordinate with external accounting providers to ensure accurate bookkeeping, compliance, and smooth integration of financial data and processes
- Serve as a critical point of contact and collaborate closely with external tax advisors and auditors
- Cultivate and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with international business partners
Your Profile
- Successfully completed apprenticeship as Steuerfachangestellte(r), Bilanzbuchhalter(in) (IHK) or degree in economics, ideally with a focus on accounting (HGB and IFRS)
- Solid experience (3-5+ years) in preparing financial accounts, annual reports, and consolidated financial statements, preferably in the retail sector
- Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Fluent German and English language skills
