Position

Christian Dior Australia & New Zealand is offering an unpaid internship for a motivated and detail-oriented Logistics Intern to join our Logistics team. This is a fantastic learning opportunity designed to support your studies in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field at an Australian or New Zealand university. As an Logistics Intern, you'll gain valuable practical experience and insights into the logistics operations of a leading luxury Maison. This role will focus on the movement of goods and materials, complementing your academic knowledge with real-world application.

Job responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Store Replenishment Support:
    • Assist with coordinating the timely and efficient replenishment of stock to retail locations across Australia and New Zealand.
    • Monitor stock levels at retail locations and identify potential replenishment needs.
    • Prepare and process internal transfer requests.
  • Transportation & Distribution Support:
    • Assist with coordinating internal shipments between offices, stores, and other locations.
    • Prepare shipping documentation for internal transfers.
    • Track internal shipments and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Inventory Management Support (Internal):
    • Assist with monitoring inventory levels within the organisation and identifying potential discrepancies.
    • Help reconcile inventory records related to internal transfers.
  • General Logistics Support:
    • Provide administrative support to the Logistics team.
    • Assist with ad-hoc projects as required.
    • Gain exposure to various aspects of a fully functioning local logistics team.

Profile

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field at an Australian university.
  • Strong academic record.
  • Basic understanding of logistics principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
