Position

The Merchandising Manager of Women’s Accessories is responsible for the successful development, communication and execution of strategies, directives and actions to drive the Accessories business for Fendi, Americas. They will lead with a customer-focused, innovative, and team-oriented approach by setting the buying vision and its execution to meet and exceed financial goals and client expectations across the US, Canada, Mexico, and Brazil. They will establish relationships with retail leadership, collect and synthesize consumer insights, and act as an advocate for Zone’s needs.

Responsibilities:

· Own, in partnership with Merchandising Director, the development and execution of Accessories assortment strategy for multiple countries and channels, stores and online for FENDI Americas

· Develop, communicate and drive long range and seasonal business strategies across multiple product categories (inc. Textiles, Jewelry, Charms, Sunglasses, etc) that meet or exceed financial goals and customer expectations

· Work closely with Worldwide Merchandising and Product teams on strategic development needs and feedback on the Americas market

· Partner with Marketing and Communications to ensure editorial and marketing strategies are in line with the key investments and overall category strategy

· Work with Visual Merchandising team to ensure store presentations accurately represent the appropriate merchandising strategy to optimize seasonal sell thru

· Partner with CRM to develop clientele strategy and action plan to increase sales

· Partner with Digital to further drive and develop the Omnichannel business

· Develop deep market knowledge through store feedback, CRM data, client profile, and client feedback; utilize market expertise to optimize product assortments and investments to address local market needs

· Analyze selling trends and react by initiating reorders and managing strategic inventory transfers; travel to key markets as needed to ensure business needs are identified and addressed

· Weekly partnership with supply chain on replenishment, inventory management and establishment of target stock levels to ensure inventory is improved and to identify any opportunities or challenges

· Present assortment to senior leadership for approval by developing presentation structure and content, and ensuring appropriate analysis is completed

· Develop and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders with a consultative and collaborative style

· Bring awareness and motivation around merchandising strategies

· Generate fiscal selling reports and business analysis for the category; react with strategic inventory transfers as necessary

· Responsible for handling merchandise consolidation and transfers

· Develop strong rapport with store management teams and provide general support to all store needs through regular communication

· Responsible for execution and maintenance of merchandising guidelines and sharing product knowledge, seasonal buy books, and training tools to the stores

· Assist with store openings, store renovations and store manager meetings

· Travel four times a year to the Italy showroom for the seasonal buy

 

Profile

Qualifications:

· 6-7 years of progressive Merchandising experience, preferably in luxury fashion; knowledge of basic retail concepts and calculations.

· Bachelor's Degree, preferred.

· Experience with in-store executions.

· Self-motivated with a strong drive for results and achievement.

· Ability to process information quickly and draw conclusions.

· Confirmed experience problem solving and sound decision-making.

· Excellent analytical, problem solving, organizational, and communication skills

· Prioritization skills to deliver against varying needs and due dates.

· Strong understanding of the luxury market needs.

· Excellent interpersonal skills; the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

· Ability to work in a team environment

· Sophisticated understanding in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

The compensation for this position ranges from $105,000- $125,000 annually. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidate’s relevant skills and experience. In addition, there is a bonus opportunity, and a comprehensive benefits package including: medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, various paid time off programs, employee discount/perks, and a retirement plan with employer contribution.

The Fendi Maison was established by Adele and Edoardo Fendi in Rome in 1925. The opening of the first Fendi boutique – a handbag shop and fur workshop followed. Soon winning international acclaim, Fendi emerged as a brand renowned for its elegance, craftsmanship, innovation and style. Called by the legendary five Fendi sisters, the collaboration with the late Karl Lagerfeld began back in 1965 and lasted 54 years. In 1992, Silvia Venturini Fendi seconded him in the Artistic Direction; in 1994, she is given the direction of Accessories and later of Menswear. In 2000, the LVMH group acquires Fendi becoming in 2001 its majority shareholder. Appointed in 2020, Kim Jones held the role of Artistic Director of Couture and Womenswear until 2024. Since 2020, Delfina Delettrez Fendi, fourth generation of the Fendi family, is Artistic Director of Jewellery. Today Fendi is synonymous with quality, tradition, experimentation and creativity.
