As ADeputy Store Director, you will support the Store Manager/Director in seeking business opportunities to exceed commercial results, driven by an entrepreneurial spirit. You will coach and develop the team in a style which is personable and hands-on. You will inspire your team to always put the client first, continually looking for ways to exceed the clients' expectations.
Job responsibilities
Your role will be:
Team Management and Development
- In partnership with the Store Manager/Director grow and develop the team through regular coaching and feedback. Identify their strengths and development opportunities and partner with the relevant departments to create meaningful individual development plans.
- Identify, recruit, and develop talent, securing succession plans to enable this.
- Manage and inspire the team to drive the business and create innovative solutions, creating an encouraging, empowering, positive, and motivating environment.
- Organize the team and shop floor coverage in an effective manner to meet the changing business needs.
- In partnership with the Store Manager/Director set appropriate and effective team and individual goals; monitor, support and manage progress of these.
- Lead, inspire and coach Managers/Team Leaders to lead, develop and grow their business and people.
- Provide support and guidance to new joiners, ensure their onboarding path is fully completed so their integration into the company is positive.
- Communicate with passion and inspire the team on company messages and information during morning briefings, training, and one to one meeting.
Client Experience
- Lead from the front, role modelling the way to connect with clients and coaching the team on the selling ceremony “in the moment”.
- Manage the customer flow to ensure each client is given the correct level of service and no client is left unattended or unacknowledged.
- Support the Store Manager/Director in building a client centric mindset within the store which focuses on always exceeding client expectations.
- Develop the customer database through optimizing data capture rate and integrity.
Business Development
- Communicate to the Store Manager/Director what the store opportunities and priorities are, which can drive performance and enable the Store Manager/Director to develop strategic plans and actions; you will support implementing these actions.
- Identify and focus on categories to develop within the store, collaborating with the Store Manager/Director to ensure each category's potential is maximized.
- Build, grow and develop a loyal client base, utilizing all available tools and opportunities.
- Understand the external competitive landscape and market trends; continually take steps to increase your knowledge and awareness.
- Analyze and monitor store level business performance, results and audits and develop actions as needed.
Operations
- Full responsibility of all the Store and Team in the absence of the Store Manager/Director.
- Ensure that all store processes and procedures are harmonized to provide best in class client experience including:
- All Health & Safety matters are adhered to.
- Store Facilities are maintained.
- Grooming Guidelines are respected.
- Effective collaboration between front and back of house teams and activities.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of policies, standards, and procedures, ensuring they are communicated and implemented.
- Ensure the flawless implementation and adoption of the Retail tools and assets for FOH (front of house) and BOH (Back of House) client and user experience.
- Maintain inventory and be responsible for inventory management and accuracy.
- Additional duties and management responsibilities as required.
