Position

The Capex Senior Manager is responsible for the strategic planning, management, and execution of capital expenditure (Capex) projects and the related purchasing activities within Loro Piana. This role involves ensuring alignment with company strategy, adherence to budgetary and quality standards, and effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. The Capex Senior Manager will also play a key role in project management, particularly within the New Purchasing Model Project.

Job responsibilities

Project Management Activities:

  • Manage the Project Management Office (PMO) activities related to Capex projects within the New Purchasing Model Project, reporting to the Company Purchasing Director;
  • Contribute to the development of key purchasing areas, including strategy, sourcing, contract management, procure-to-pay processes, and performance management.

Capex Purchasing Strategy:

  • Analyze market dynamics and trends related to capital expenditures to identify opportunities and risks;
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Capex purchasing strategy, identifying new suppliers and establishing fair pricing benchmarks.

Sourcing & Vendor Selection (Capex Focus):

  • Develop detailed and actionable Capex budgets in collaboration with relevant stakeholders;
  • Support budget execution by sharing responsibility with Company Purchasing and Requisitioners on key Capex categories.

Contract Management (Capex Focus):

  • Lead the negotiation and re-negotiation of contracts with existing and new suppliers for Capex projects;
  • Manage the bidding process through auctions, Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Proposals (RFP), and Requests for Quotation (RFQ) to ensure competitive pricing and optimal terms.

Performance Management (Capex Focus):

  • Identify and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for Capex projects, including financial, legal, compliance, quality, and operational metrics;
  • Benchmark and rank supplier performance based on defined criteria;
  • Manage periodic audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.

Category Management (Capex Focus):

  • Manage the purchasing process for assigned Capex categories, ensuring adherence to time and quality standards;
  • Promote synergies and best practices within Loro Piana and the broader LVMH Group Purchasing Community;
  • Collaborate with company stakeholders to fulfill internal Service Level Agreements (SLAs);
  • Contribute to the definition and monitoring of the assigned Capex budget, ensuring compliance with savings goals and implementing corrective actions as needed.

Profile

  • Master's Degree in Economics or Engineering;
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in consulting, purchasing, supply chain, and/or logistics, with a significant focus on Capex projects;
  • Solid Project Management background;
  • Strong leadership skills in managing employees and building relationships with suppliers and stakeholders;
  • Excellent results-oriented approach, with a focus on customer satisfaction, integrity, reliability, and interpersonal skills;
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office and SAP MM;
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written; proficiency in French is a plus;
  • Willingness to travel for business both in Italy and abroad to visit subsidiaries and suppliers.
