The Manager, Trade Marketing - Hennessy adapts the brand strategy into visibility & selling materials, creates brand programs, and acts as the liaison between the Brand Teams and the Field & Trade Marketing Lead.
Office/Loation: Hybrid 3x a week based out of NYC Office
Job responsibilities
Commercial Brand Guidelines and Programs
- Work closely with Brand teams to translate brand strategy and brand platforms into commercial brand standards & tactical guidelines, for both the on & off premise channels and at the subchannel
- Create core brand commercial program ideas & selling materials for: Off/On-premise activations, event/activation inspiration, mood boards, custom visibility and other needs at the moment of purchase.
- Create and update sell sheets/ selling materials for MH Sales and distributor sales reps to drive the business forward, including documents that: describe our heritage, craftsmanship, accolades, portfolio of products.
- Maintain Brand Assets on internal and external platforms (Most Relevant and Properly Named for Consistency)
- Engage and oversee 3rd party agencies as needed to support with the ideation and creation of materials
- Lead all Weekly Status Calls with Brand, Procurement & Creative Agencies
POSM Management
- Create best in Class POSM through collaboration with Brand Team, Procurement & Creative Agencies
- Oversee POSM Budget, ensuring purchases and related costs fall within designated budget
- Work with Maison on Annual Commitments and Monthly Purchases
- Day to Day Management, Oversee POSM Images, Details, Allocations, Catalogs and Quarterly Scrapping Exercise
Internal Relationship Management
- Collaborate closely with Brand team to translate latest brand strategies and positioning into commercial guidelines and program. Ensure that brand teams provide and roll out programs on a quarterly cadence, in line with the business needs.
- Collaborate and support Field Marketing team on program details and availability of materials, and support them with key initiatives including Maison and winemaker visits as needed.
- Collaborate closely with Customer Programming Leads to communicate brand guidelines and ensure subchannel playbooks and programs are in line with Brand strategy.
- Work with Consumer Insights to distill and incorporate consumer trends into selling materials.
Timeliness
- Manage Timeline targets & internal/external stakeholders to produce Program assets
Profile
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant industry experience required
Professional Experience
- 5+ years of marketing or creative marketing experience in the wines and spirits, consumer packaged goods, or retail industries
- Strong business/commercial strategy experience. Strong sales experience with strategic orientation or strong marketing experience with commercial orientation, field marketing, planning, communications and influencing skills
- Experience working within the beverage alcohol & three-tier system is a plus, but not required
- Strong analytical skills with desire to work with information systems and digital platforms
- Excellent planning and organization skills
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- High level of organization/project management capabilities
- Project Management skills, cross-functional team player with a proactive mindset
Capabilities
- Deep understanding of brand strategy, priorities, and positioning to translate and uphold guidelines in the commercial organization
- Able to deliver results and balance needs for both Brand Teams and Field Marketing / Commercial Sales Team
- Highly refined organizational skills and experience managing a substantial number of projects and details simultaneously
- Plans and prioritizes work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals
