Following the success of the first edition of “Une Journée Pour Soi” (“A Day All Your Own”) organized by LVMH with French charity Secours Populaire, the Group continues its commitment to women in vulnerable situations, renewing the initiative in six French cities this year. The program was launched on March 6th at the Château de Versailles, which welcomed 400 women receiving aid from Secours Populaire. This second edition will continue with events in Cognac, Lyon, Angers, Grasse and Lens.
In 2019, LVMH and Secours Populaire inaugurated a social solidarity initiative called “Une Journée Pour Soi” (“A Day All Your Own”). The event provides support for women aided by the charity to help them regain self-esteem and free them for a short time from their challenging daily lives. The first edition of “Une Journée Pour Soi” welcomed over 400 women in Saint-Denis, Marseille, Roubaix, Paris, Reims and Carcassonne.
Following the success with the women invited of last year’s events, LVMH has decided to anchor this commitment to solidarity for the long term, scheduling six dates in March 2020, a month dedicated to women by LVMH. Some 700 women receiving aid from Secours Populaire will be welcomed by LVMH and Secours Populaire teams in Versailles, Cognac, Lyon, Angers, Grasse and Lens.

Participants will be taken on guided tours of cultural heritage jewels in each city: the Château de Versailles, Château de Bagnolet (owned by Hennessy) in Cognac, the Musée des Confluences in Lyon, the Château d’Angers, Les Fontaines Parfumées in Grasse and the Louvre-Lens museum.
A special reception awaits the women in each city. In addition to visits to exceptional sites, Secours Populaire is organizing beauty workshops with makeup artists from LVMH Maisons Sephora, Make Up Forever, Givenchy Parfums and Benefit Cosmetics. This well-being treatment will be captured during photo sessions with professional photographers, who will give the women copies of the photos to remember the day. There will also be coaching workshops centered on well-being and self-esteem to facilitate a return to employment, organized with the association Mindfulness Solidaire. Every aspect of the program is designed to let the women take advantage of their special day to help restore their self-confidence.
The second edition of “Une Journée Pour Soi” was inaugurated on March 6th in the majestic setting of the Château de Versailles. In a convivial atmosphere, the 400 women thoroughly enjoyed the beauty workshops, photo shoots and well-being sessions, as well as having a chance to visit the stunning Queen’s Apartments during a guided tour rich in history.

Next up is Cognac on March 9th as the 2020 edition of “Une Journée Pour Soi” continues across France!
