Kim Jones unveiled his debut collection for Dior Homme on Saturday, June 23, 2018 within magical decor designed by the artist Kaws, staged in the courtyard of the Republican Guard in Paris. Here’s a look at this inaugural runway show that took the fashion world by storm.

The Artistic Director of Dior Homme since March 2018, Kim Jones presented his debut collection for Dior Homme on Saturday, June 23, 2018 in the courtyard of the Republican Guard. A sculpture of pink and black roses depicting a character called “BFF” (Best Friend Forever) designed by the artist KAWS stood enthroned in the center of the catwalk, giving the debut show a decidedly pop, offbeat feel.

This first collection by Kim Jones as Artistic Director of Dior Homme made a strong impression by offering silhouettes with multiple references to Mr. Christian Dior and the iconic models from the 30 Avenue Montaigne brand, such as the Saddle bag, while deeply rooting the collection in the current times. Several celebrities including Karl Lagerfeld, Virgil Abloh, Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell and Victoria Beckham were in attendance to celebrate the new Dior Man, giving a stunning conclusion to Paris Fashion Week Men’s Spring-Summer 2019.
