Guerlain employees seek the ideal husband

In 2014, Guerlain launched L’Homme Idéal, its new men’s fragrance. This year the House has expanded the collection with L’Homme Idéal Cologne, inspired this time by the ideal husband. To illustrate the new creation, 160 Guerlain employees set out to catch the rare prey…

To compose L’Homme Idéal Cologne, Guerlain Perfumer Thierry Wasser heightened the vetiver to reveal the fresh character of the almond-based scent. The version is more mature and perfectly well-behaved…both essential for the perfect husband!

To illustrate the new scent, Guerlain created a highly original and lighthearted advertising campaign. Jon Kortajanera returns to play the ideal husband, joined by 160 brides-to-be who all volunteered for their role, the only criteria being a desire to join the cast. In fact, the 160 brides are all Guerlain employees (including two men), each of them very proud to represent their House in a global campaign. During a very special day for the shooting, the people whose daily skills are behind the excellence of Guerlain products came together to embody their House.

In another innovation for the campaign, Guerlain also became the first perfume House to use the new visual recognition feature in the music identification app Shazam.  By simply scanning the Guerlain product visual with their smartphone, people instantly access special L’Homme Idéal Cologne content. Another shining example of the innovative spirit that defines Guerlain!
