Les Journées Particulières, Viva Technology, the Shchukin Collection at the Fondation Louis Vuitton, Inside LVMH and other highlights marked 2016 at LVMH, with interactions on savoir-faire and innovation.

Les Journées Particulières

During the Journées Particulières from May 20-22 LVMH Houses invited the public for a personal backstage visit to 53 rarely seen sites in France and across Europe. This third edition broke attendance records as over 145,000 visitors had a chance to discover the unique savoir-faire heritage of our Maisons.

The event had a huge digital presence as well with exciting online initiatives. For example, LVMH turned over its Instagram account to ten international talents from the contemporary photography scene for a unique perspective.

Viva Technology: LVMH opens the doors to its Luxury Lab

The Viva Technology show in Paris from June 30 to July 2 welcomed major players in the digital transformation. A partner of this first edition, the LVMH Group hosted and facilitated the Luxury Lab, a 500-square-meter space dedicated exclusively to the luxury industry. Start-ups presented solutions to challenges facing luxury companies today. The Lab also featured the latest innovations from LVMH Houses:  Guerlain unveiled a digital fragrance finder, Krug showed how Krug iD works, TAG Heuer shared insights into the creation of its connected luxury watch and Sephora showcased The Beauty Board, its new online community. The First edition of Viva Technology welcomed over 45,000 visitors, marking the debut of a must event for new technologies.

Shchukin Collection at the Fondation Louis Vuitton

The exhibition Icons of Modern Art. The Shchukin Collection, which opened at the Fondation Louis Vuitton in October and runs until February, pays tribute to Sergei Shchukin, one of the most influential patrons of the arts of the 20th century. For the first time since 1948, it brings together the exceptional collection built up by Sergei Shchukin.

Inside LVMH: innovation and interaction

The “Inside LVMH” event for students from prestigious French and European universities took place on November 22. The 220 students selected had an opportunity to discover 16 LVMH Houses and their métiers, as well as to meet with executives and staff. The agenda centered in immersion sessions in small groups to discover the Houses, a pitch session on the theme of innovation at LVMH headquarters and a master class with Bernard Arnault at the Fondation Louis Vuitton.

Inside LVMH generated an enthusiastic response from both the young talents and executives and staff from participating LVMH Houses
