Hyères 2014 Fashion and Photography winners

The 29th Hyères International Fashion and Photography Festival, which took place from April 25-28, recognized several very talented and promising young designers and photographers.

The Grand Prix went to Japanese designer Kenta Matsushige for his “Hinabi” collection. The structural mastery of his silhouettes was unanimously saluted by the jury, headed by Carol Lim and Humberto Leon. The Prix Chloé was awarded to designers Liselore Rowjin et Roshi Porkar, while the Prix du public de la Ville d’Hyères recognized Coralie Marabelle of France for her collection imprinted in poetry. Opening Ceremony spotted Yulia Yefimtchuck’s collection and will be selling it in his stores worldwide.

In the photography competition, the Grand Prix was awarded to Lorenzo Vitturi for his series « Dalston Anatomy ». The Prix du Public de la Ville d’Hyères went to France’s Marie Rime for her “Armure” series. The School of Visual Arts in New York will grant a scholarship to french photographer Orianne Lopes for her “Les Mélanies” project while photographer Virginie Rebetez received a special award form Leica for her “Under Cover” series. Once again this year, the Festival culminated with an international panel of superbly talented prize winners.
