LVMH Rise helps talent grow

The LVMH group celebrated the first graduating class of its RISE program (Results in Social Entrepreneurship) at a ceremony on April 16. This groundbreaking initiative pairs internal talents with social entrepreneurs, bringing our executives a richer experience as they develop themselves.

The principle behind this innovative program is to put future LVMH leaders in contact with social entrepreneurs. RISE is a pure win-win proposition that gives participating social entrepreneurs access to the skills of their LVMH partner. The LVMH talents in turn enjoy a custom-tailored opportunity for personal development and exposure to a different environment, where they need to apply creativity to deliver the best solutions for their social entrepreneur partner.

The 11 talents from the first RISE cohort—representing Europe, the United States and Asia—came together in Paris for two days to share their respective experiences. Their projects have focused on five project areas: women, education, the environment, sustainable fashion and food. Through their work in tandem with social entrepreneurs they have acquired new skills that will prove useful in their day-to-day work.

The LVMH group actively encourages this mutually enriching process, which makes an important contribution to training future leaders with creativity, entrepreneurial spirit and a strong social engagement. Launched in 2013, the LVMH RISE program is continuing with 20 new talents who are joining other social entrepreneurs for new initiatives this year.
