LVMH sponsors Cultures and Creation fashion show in Montfermeil for seventh consecutive year

As part of a partnership with the suburbs of Clichy-sous-Bois and Montfermeil on the northern edge of Paris, the LVMH Group continues to support the “Cultures and Creations” fashion show for the seventh consecutive year. The annual event, held on February 4, spotlights a diversity of creative talents.

For the seventh consecutive year, the LVMH Group continues to support the “Cultures and Creations” fashion show in Montfermeil. Organized by the city, this distinctive fashion show reveals the diversity of creative talents from the local community and gives them a chance to present their work to a jury of fashion professionals.

Each year, 50 designers –amateurs and semi-professionals alike – send their creations out on the runway worn by 200 models who are made up by Guerlain makeup artists. The eagerly awaited show regularly draws an audience of over 700 people.

The attendees enthusiastically applauded both the Culture part of the show, which features looks inspired by traditional dress in the native regions of the young designers, as well as the Creation show. The Young Talent Prize is awarded for a creation inspired by a specific theme, “Poetry” for this year’s edition. The jury of fashion and human resources professionals gave the 2017 Special Jury Prize to Emeline Dufour and the Young Talent Prize to Laurie Procès. She follows last year’s winner of the Young Talent Prize, Camille Boillet, who received personal mentoring for her design work and had a chance to present her work in the Green Showroom at Berlin Fashion Week in July 2016.

This year’s jury welcomed a new member, Anaïs Guille, who won the 2013 Young Talent Prize. After winning the award, during the past four years she completed a work-study internship with Kenzo and then attended the Ecole de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne. In fall 2016 she joined the Christian Dior Haute Couture atelier. This impressive itinerary recognizes her talent and is elegant testimony to the success and positive impact of the Montfermeil event.
