The Cannes red carpet once again this year welcomed dazzling creations by LVMH Houses, worn by their equally stunning  muses. A few highlights from an event that epitomizes elegance and refinement.

The Cannes Film Festival is not only the year’s marquee event for cinema fans, it is also a rendezvous with the ultimate in glamour and a prime showcase for LVMH Houses to spotlight their savoir-faire with both creations crafted specially for the festival, as well as pieces from their latest collections. Catherine Deneuve attended the premiere of the film “La Tête Haute”, in which she stars, wearing an embroidered  look from the Louis Vuitton 2015 Cruise Collection. Natalie Portman presented her first film as a director, “A Tale of love and Darkness”, in a strapless couture gown designed by Raf Simons for Christian Dior.

On the jewelry side, a good many actresses chose pieces from Chaumet’s Lumières d’Eau high jewelry collection when they ascended the famed red-carpeted stairs. Anaïs Demoustier, who plays the lead role in Valérie Donzelli’s movie “Marguerite et Julien”, wore pendant earrings and a platinum bracelet paved with diamonds. TAG Heuer joined Chad McQueen, son of the legendary actor and automobile racer Steve McQueen, to present a documentary on his father’s passion for the Le Mans race course. Thanks to TAG Heuer, he wore the original Monaco seen on his father’s wrist in archive images from the film.
