Nowness, the pioneering platform for digital experiences, is celebrating five years of buzzing innovation, success and work with exceptional artists, brands and cultural institutions. The festivities will be hosted all week on the Nowness website and on social networks, joined by the premier of a new rating feature.

Launched in 2010, Nowness has become a preeminent destination for curated films and filmmaking, home to a continually growing community of culture enthusiasts and influencers. The site had over half a million unique visitors per month in 2014 and the number of monthly video views tripled. Nowness now counts nearly 65,000 registered members.

To celebrate five years of success, Nowness paid tribute to the engagement and loyalty of its fans with a contest to design a bespoke birthday logo. The winning design, created by Christian Heikoop, a design student based in the Netherlands, replaces the current Nowness logo on the site all week long, and the creator receives a 3,000-euro grant. Nowness is also featuring some of the highlights and iconic content published on the channel since 2010 with a series of “Most Loved” films, available on the Nowness site and the channel’s social networks.

What’s more, Nowness members can now share their personal rating of videos posted on the platform thanks to a new rating function. Consistent with its commitment to continually enhancing a personalized and immersive experience, the new feature makes it possible to reorganize content to reflect the preferences of individual users, or the entire community. “This anniversary marks a milestone in the site’s success during the past five years. We look forward to continuing to offer the most engaging and up-to-the-moment exclusive digital content in all creative realms,” says Claudia Donaldson, Nowness’ Editor-in-Chief.
