Our travels to the heart of exceptional destinations around the LVMH group cross the Atlantic to visit the Hamptons, Donna Karan’s favorite place to vacation. A long-time fan of the calm and serenity that reign in this area on the eastern end of Long Island, the designer has since 1998 organized a high-profile charity event called Super Saturday.

A haven renowned for its heavenly beaches, the Hamptons is the must vacation spot for New York socialites. Over the years, a loyal community has been forged, devoted to this fabulous location. Donna Karan is one who succumbed to the charms and easy-going lifestyle of the peninsula, spending time there each summer to recharge and nourish the casual chic inspiration that marks her collections. Well-known for her social commitments, Donna Karan has for more than 15 years organized one of the biggest “garage sales” of designer wear, raising funds for the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund. Starting as an intimate affair in a friend’s garden, Super Saturday has become a huge event that encapsulates the spirit of solidarity for which the Hamptons is renowned. The 2014 edition, which took place on July 26, raised over 3.5 million dollars.

Tomorrow, Hôtel Cheval Blanc will bring you to Courchevel.
