Sephora is leveraging the power of its global brand and community during this month dedicated to women’s rights to honor this important cause. Sephora believes deeply in the role of beauty as a force for empowerment and self-expression and has launched a series of activations celebrating the power of its community.
Sephora’s workforce counts 87% women, putting them at the very heart of its ecosystem, as the brand continues its longstanding active support of equity. The global campaign “Together we…” shines a light on inspiring women within the Sephora community as female brand founders, employees, beauty advisors and partners share personal stories that resonate with everyone.
Because beauty is a source of self-confidence, Sephora is also expanding its Classes for Confidence program. These inclusive workshops, provided in partnership with non-profit organizations, support underserved communities and help inspire confidence in women facing major life changes such as illness, entering the workforce or gender transition. Initiated in 2015 in the United States and Canada before being rolled out in 2018 in Europe and the Middle East, the program will be expanded to 24 markets, notably across Asia.
Pursuing its commitment to raising awareness on women’s stories and to supporting beauty in all its diversity, Sephora is a proud partner of WOMAN, an immersive exhibition that highlights the voices of 2,000 women across 50 countries. Drawn from the film co-directed by Anastasia Mikova and Yann Arthus-Bertrand and partnered by LVMH, this unprecedented experience immerses visitors in the stories of women from around the globe to seek a better understanding of what being a woman means across the world.
