Every year, LVMH brands unveil exclusive new products that celebrate the summer season. Our 2015 summer tour features a different sun-drenched creation each week. Today, discover the Twist bag from the Louis Vuitton 2016 Cruise Collection.
Louis Vuitton introduced the Trapèze clutch in 1988, a flat bag in Epi leather whose lock featured the interlaced letters “L” and “V” to form the initials LV. When he became Creative Director of the House, Nicolas Ghesquière delved into the archives to imagine “new classics”, and reinvented this icon. For the 2015 Cruise Collection he created the Twist, a roomier version of the Trapèze clutch that he has since reworked for each of the Louis Vuitton runway shows. For the 2016 Cruise Collection, presented in Palm Springs, Nicolas Ghesquière decided to dress it up with a palm motif, inspired by the palm trees that gave the city in the California desert its name. A perfectly chic and edgy summer accessory.
