As part of a longstanding partnership with the Paris suburbs of Clichy-sous-Bois and Montfermeil, the LVMH Group has reaffirmed its support for the Cultures & Création fashion show, sponsoring the event for the tenth consecutive year. This unique show features creations by amateur and semi-professional designers from 40 different countries on the runway.
Since its creation in 2006, the event has made fashion an important outlet for expressing diversity and promoting creativity. It has at the same time encouraged vocational paths, welcoming over a thousand attendees. The Cultures & Création show is eagerly awaited by young designers under 26, whose work is judged by a jury of fashion professionals from the LVMH Group, which chooses the recipients of the Prix Jeune Talent RSE LVMH (LVMH CSR Young Talent Prize) and the Prix Coup de cœur (Special Jury Prize).
This year’s Prix Jeune Talent RSE LVMH went to Hanane Oulahbil. She will receive support from LVMH with a grant for the purchase of materials and mentoring, including an apprenticeship at an LVMH Maison and a chance to present her creations during a fashion trade show in Berlin. The celebration of ten years of partnership with the Cultures & Création show and the cities of Clichy-sous-Bois and Montfermeil is an elegant reminder that talent knows no borders and everyone can be a source of excellence.
“We are delighted to mark a decade of partnership between the cities of Clichy-sous-Bois and Montfermeil and the LVMH Group. This show is a chance to recognize and celebrate the diversity of amazing talents. We are delighted to present prizes to two of these young talents and help launch the winner on her professional career,” stated Olivier Théophile, Corporate Social Responsibility Director at LVMH.
In addition to initiatives to support equal opportunity and inclusion, LVMH also promotes apprenticeships and employment for young talents at its Maisons with the LVMH Institut des Métiers d’Excellence vocational trade fair in Clichy-sous-Bois. The 2020 edition of the event welcomed over 1,000 visitors.
