From June 30 to July 2, 2016, Paris will welcome Viva Technology, a groundbreaking event dedicated to the digital transformation. Jointly organized by the media group Les Echos and Publicis, it will bring together all the key players driving innovation today for three days of conferences, discussions and networking. LVMH is a partner of what promises to be a major, high-profile event.

Viva Technology aims to showcase emerging startups on the cusp of innovation and bring them a chance to engage with large businesses seeking tools to support their digital transformation and stimulate a disruptive spirit. The 40,000-square-meter exhibition space will welcome nearly 5,000 startups, 20 of the world’s top companies, 200 speakers and internationally-renowned experts. Business executives, investors, academics and thought leaders from around the world will be on hand for the event, which is expected to draw some 30,000 visitors.

Viva Technology will feature four main spaces.

HACK, with 15,000 square meters of collaborative workspace, will welcome exchanges among preselected startups and industry leaders in their respective sectors.

The IMAGINE conference space will host inspiring talks by global thought leaders around the theme “Technology and Companies: the ‘new deal’ for our society”.

The HALL OF TECH section will be dedicated to hands-on demonstrations of the latest technologies from the world’s most innovative companies.

The fourth space is 100% digital. Launched ahead of the event, CONNECT is a collaborative digital platform that invites startups to find solutions to challenges from partner companies, giving them an opportunity to showcase their creativity and expertise.

LVMH is a key partner of the event and is hosting a special “Lab” dedicated to the luxury industry. Within this 500-square-meter space, the Group will welcome 50 startups whose initiatives address the future challenges of luxury houses in Fashion & Leather Goods, Wines & Spirits, Perfumes & Cosmetics, Watches & Jewelry and Selective Retailing.

To select startups invited to be part of the Luxury Lab, the LVMH Group is proposing a series of challenges on the CONNECT collaborative platform. The first challenge has already been posted and invites startups to show how their innovation can enrich LVMH customer intimacy through stronger customer understanding (Customer intimacy and personnalization through stronger customer understanding).

“The luxury industry is at a strategic juncture with respect to digital technologies, and an essential part of this transformation is recognizing the importance of entrepreneurial initiative, which has always been a core value at LVMH. We’re very proud to be associated with VIVA TECHNOLOGY PARIS to help showcase the best startups in the luxury industry today, the creative young enterprises that will nourish the future of luxury,” said Ian Rogers, LVMH Group Chief Digital Officer.
