Within the framework of the change to our operating model, the merchant project manager is responsible for the creation, implementation, and optimization of processes within the offer team. He is responsible for providing project teams coordination, recommendations, and oversight of various projects to ensure they align with the Sephora’s strategic goals and objectives. This role involves implementing standardized project management processes, facilitating communication and collaboration between project teams, and assisting in the efficient allocation of resources. The projects will be around Sephora Europe Merchandising Strategy.

The position is based in Neuilly-sur-Seine.

Key Projects :

  • The Merchant Project Manager will tackle are around Sephora Merchandising Strategy / Vision
    • Key transformation projects
    • Definition of our 3 years strategic plan & priorities
  • Within these projects, he will work closely with other departments that have a strong link with merchandising teams (marketing, supply chain, finance, IT,…) but also will help coordinate the different teams within merchandising (brand partnership, category management & RGM)

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management Governance: Develop and maintain project management follow-up, methodologies, and standards. Ensure that projects follow established guidelines, that decision are correctly cascading to project teams.
  • Project Planning and Scheduling: Collaborate with project managers to create detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones. Gather KPIs, consolidate data, monitor tasks progress and provide support on potential bottlenecks or delays. Challenge teams and implement risk management strategies to mitigate project risks.
  • Resource Management: Assist in resource allocation and capacity planning across various projects. Monitor resource utilization and work with project managers to optimize resource allocation.
  • Reporting, Performance Analysis and SteerCo organization: Update governance and key stakeholders by preparing regular status reports, executive summaries, dashboards.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Foster effective communication and collaboration among project teams, stakeholders, and executives. Organize meetings, workshops, and reviews to ensure alignment and clear understanding of project goals.
  • Interface with brands

In charge of coordinating transformation-related issues with key contacts (General Manager, PMO, Sales Director) to align organizations and processes.

  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to improve project management practices, processes, and methodologies. Participate in lessons learned sessions and share insights to enhance future project success.
