EUROPE MARKETING CATEGORY DIRECTOR (M/F/X)

As a Europe Category Strategic Marketing Director, you will build marketing strategies that drive retailer preference for the category and manage a team of strategic marketers on our priority brand partners. Reporting to the Europe Strategic Marketing Director he/she is acting as the orchestrator of the marketing expertise, being the intermediary between Merchant and Marketing. She/He is responsible for the strategy and brand management to ensure that the team develops impactful Sephora, brand and product launch campaigns in collaboration with other teams leveraging relevant marketing levers.
Category marketing Management:
Support team in the definition of key Sephora activation moments and key brands (top brands/novelties/projects & selective groups) 360° marketing plans & activations
Based on customers insights, trends and past activation learnings, collaborate with Merchant Category Brands Director as a sparring partner to develop brands and Sephora brand-led strategies that ladder into the overarching axis strategy, identifying key trends and business opportunities that can accelerate the business or client growth
Orchestrate 360° Marketing expertise taking inputs from Global team, Functional Experts and Markets to develop suitable actions in relationship with Brands Marketing teams
Serve as the main marketing contact on brand activations, Sephora brand-led activations and marketing category strategy for countries. Ensure the deployment of EU strategy across the region
Sephora Brand Led Management
Develop and execute the sephora led omni marketing activation plan in 360° in partnership with the merchant team and the expert.
Co build the animation calendar together with the countries to ensure local relevancy.
Coordinate and animate the copil to ensure a smooth orchestration of the marketing chapters to deliver the right assets and books on time.
Brands Management:
Embody the presentation and iteration with brands based on team’s work on strategic 360° marketing plans aiming at building long term partnerships with trustful relationships.
Build annual strategic marketing plan that are reflecting brands & sephora priorities in terms of business, customers engagement and budget consideration. Define Brand Marketing strategy on all marketing topics, inclusive of online and offline activations, working hand-in-hand with our in-house marketing experts. Ensure an all-time strategic alignment between the Strategic Marketing Team and CRM, Media, Social Media, PR, Trade and Ecomm.
Oversee the development of 360° toolboxes for each brand activation with internal experts: creative, merchant, retail, ecommerce, CRM, social media, media, PR & training
Create strong relationships with marketing leaders from our top brand partners across Europe in both exclusive and selective worlds
Lead through Analytics with ROI mindset
Define and animate data driven and actionable activation reports and marketing reviews (internal and brand facing) to track performance of the strategic marketing annual planning. Be able to drive first level of performance analysis with shared and aligned KPIs cross functions and cross countries. Closely collaborate with the experts for deep dives when needed
Enhance key KPIs and implement an effective performance monitoring dashboard. Embark and federate functions and stakeholders around these kpis.
Generate growth through informed data insights on digital touchpoints: Web and App.

15+ years related experience in brand management/marketing in a consumer facing business, digital content publisher or digital agency
Brand-facing background at Sephora highly preferred
Proactive problem-solving and analytical skills; ability to anticipate obstacles and quickly generate alternate solutions/ideas
Honed presentation skills; confidence in presenting point of view in multiple forums, including leadership level
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Exceptional organizational and time management skills
Proven ability to lead, build relationships, and work effectively in a highly cross-functional team
Passion for Sephora, our programs, clients, store associates, and marketing
Ability to travel as required – Assume 5-6 weeklong trips per year
