Job Responsibilities
Inventory and intercompany receivables and payables (Daily / Month-End Closing / Reporting)
- Monitor inventory movement/balance in stores, warehouse and head office.
- Reconcile all inventory balance in all systems involved.
- Work closely with Supply Chain in warehouse and stores to investigate and resolve movement issues.
- Process in the inventory system on inventory purchase.
- Prepare monthly journal entries for inventory purchase from group-companies and third-party companies.
- Review journal entries related to inventory, and intercompany receivables and payables.
- Prepare monthly reconciliations of inventory, intercompany receivables and payables.
- Prepare the supporting monthly, quarterly, annual closing for reporting, internal control, audit support or tax requirements,
- Make cash forecast for inventory purchase and monitor the difference between forecast and actual.
- Support team members in other accounting processes.
- Special projects as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory work: journal entries, reconciliations, invoices, monthly reporting, audit and tax requirements, reconciliations, closing tasks (includes internal control, audit, tax compliance), cash forecasts.
- Intercompany receivables and payables work: journal entries, reconciliations, invoices, monthly reporting, audit and tax requirements, reconciliations, closing tasks (includes internal control, audit, tax compliance).
- Administrative work and work improvements
Qualifications/Primary Job Requirements
- Bookkeeping 2nd grade or above preferable.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in operational company or Audit firm.
- Experience in retail business is a plus.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet the deadlines in a fast-paced environment is essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
- Japanese – Business level or above.
- English – Business Level.
