Position Overview

The role is responsible for supporting the inventory planning needs of the Designer and Diamond Collections business.  The focus will be on completing daily tasks needed to successfully roll out new product launches, allocating finished goods inventory to regional distribution centers and reporting.  Additional responsibilities include assisting with the monthly Inventory Planning cycle, tracking receipts and cross-functional communication.

Key Accountabilities 

New Product

  • Responsible for weekly reporting on all new and upcoming launches for the Designer and Diamond Collections categories
  • Partner with Industrial team on receipt timing and on-time delivery
  • Attend and participate in cross functional meetings on launch execution

Inventory Allocation

  • Collaborate with regional Supply Chain Teams on zonal inventory/safety stock targets against given sales forecasts
  • Analyze sell through, availability and targets regularly
  • Partner with distribution and logistics teams centrally and regionally to ensure smooth inventory flow of high priority projects

Finished Goods Purchasing

  • Plan target inventory levels at global and zonal level based on provided sales forecasts and inventory policies/productivity objectives.
  • Place manufacturing orders with supply team and follow through on receipt timing and on-time delivery
  • Project inventory landing at rolling 12-18 month horizon at global level
  • Plan, present and justify OTB targets for purchase plans

Required Qualifications

  • 3 - 7 years business experience
  • College degree and/or business experience
  • Retail management experience in merchandise planning and/or replenishment planning
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to lead in a team environment
  • Excellent conflict resolution and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage and function in a dynamic environment while handling multiple assignments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong analytical skills. Familiarity with multi-product, multi-sales channel environment
  • Knowledge of distribution operations and merchandise planning experience
  • Downloads, BOBJ or other database user experience

The hiring range for this position ranges from $38.50- $50.50. The pay offered will be dependent upon candidates’ relevant skills and experience.
