The Facilities Operating Engineer will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of process and building equipment and will assist in the completion of the Preventative Maintenance Program at The Landmark. This position may also perform in-house project/fabrication work as assigned.

Eligible candidates are required to have full-time availability, ensuring a commitment of 40 or more hours weekly, with all duties performed on-site at The Landmark.

  • Responsible for repairing and maintaining all process and building equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, process piping, wastewater treatment, electrical and lighting.
  • Complete preventative maintenance tasks on all process and building equipment as part of the Preventative Maintenance Program.
  • Test and inspect all emergency and life safety systems to meet FM, NFPA, OSHA and all agency standards and guidelines.
  • Responsible for the completion of all project/fabrication work, the procurement of all necessary parts/supplies and timely follow-up with the customer/requestor.
  • Communicate with outside vendors as needed for service support, parts supplies, etc.
  • Support outside contractors scheduled to complete projects within the facility.
  • Maintain adequate inventory to support the facility.
  • Work safely by consistently following procedures required at the worksite.  
  • Make suggestions for safety measures and promptly report all incidents and safety issues to the direct manager.


Experience Required:

  • 3-5 years of experience in related field
  • Certificates of fitness: Q01/S13/S12/A35/S95/F01
  • Ability to use power tools and craft equipment
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Basic plumbing and pipefitting experience
  • Basic carpentry and fabrication skills
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities
  • Proven ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing 
  • Must be available to respond to building related emergency calls after hours
  • Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime

 

Experience Desired:

  • Technical degree, a plus
  • Knowledge of Preventative Maintenance Programs
  • Welding experience

The hiring range for this position ranges from $30.43 - $41.17. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidates’ relevant skills and experience.
