You’re sooo Benefit!

At Benefit, we're redefining fun, fearless, and forward-thinking beauty — and that starts with our people. We're seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Global Total Rewards to lead the design, governance, and execution of our total rewards philosophy across all regions.

This role will act as a center of excellence (COE), providing critical expertise and partnership in compensation, benefits, and career architecture while aligning our programs with the company’s Employee Value Proposition (EVP). As a high-impact individual contributor, this person will partner closely with HR, Finance, and local Total Rewards teams to build scalable, globally consistent frameworks that attracts, retains, and inspires top talent.

What You’ll Do:

  • Total Rewards Strategy: Develop and lead a global compensation and benefits strategy that supports our business goals, reinforces our EVP, and ensures market competitiveness.
  • Governance & Infrastructure: Oversee compensation governance, job cataloging, salary banding, benchmarking, and internal compensation reviews (ICR)
  • Career Architecture: Design and implement a global career leveling framework that defines expectations at every level; partner with HR and business leaders to embed this structure across the organization.
  • Benefits Planning: Collaborate with local HR teams to guide regional benefits strategies and ensure global alignment and consistency with Benefit’s EVP
  • Benchmarking & Market Data: Own all benchmarking processes and tools to ensure market competitiveness and internal equity.
  • Business Partnership: Serve as a strategic advisor to regional HR and leadership on total rewards issues, providing thoughtful guidance that enables sound talent decisions.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Total Rewards, including compensation and benefits
  • Global experience required, preferably across North America, EMEA, and APAC, with a deep understanding of retail compensation structures and practices.
  • Prior experience in a COE or global strategy-focused role
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing compensation frameworks, job leveling, and governance
  • Deep understanding of market data, benchmarking, total reward best practices, and compensation analytics
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or certification (e.g., CCP) a plus

Schedule:

  • Hybrid - requires onsite presence weekly to a Benefit Office

The target salary range for this position in California is $145,000 - $185,000 annually. The actual salary offered is based on market location and will depend on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, years of relevant experience; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. This position is eligible to earn an annual bonus. This position is also eligible for the following benefits, including but not limited to: comprehensive health, dental and vision plans; a 401(k) plan with employer matching, various paid time off programs; employee discounts/perks; life insurance; disability insurance; flexible spending accounts.
